Overwatch 2just put out a small Stadium update that included buffs for D.Va, Junkrat, Mei, Ana, and Zenyatta, nerfs for Juno and Kiriko, and some bug fixes throughout the entire game. This small patch is separate from the mid-Season 17 update coming later this month, and is live inOverwatch 2right now.
Stadium is a new game modeOverwatch 2introduced in Season 16. Since then, it has received a bunch of attention from Blizzard, such as a recent improvement toRanked Stadium matchmaking and rewards forOverwatch 2.
Now,Overwatch 2has released yet another round of fine-tuning for Stadium. The lion’s share of this update was in the form of Stadium-specific balance adjustments, including buffs for D.Va, Junkrat, Mei, Ana, and Zenyatta. Some of these changes are geared towards improving less-popular builds, such as Ability Power Junkrat and Healing-focusedZenyatta inOverwatch 2Stadium. Ana’s buffs improve her teamfight utility even further, while D.Va and Mei’s changes target one of their underperforming powers.
Unfortunately, a couple of heroes got the short end of the balance adjustment stick. Juno – who at high MMRs has reportedly earned the nickname “Flying Tracer” – had some of her survivability taken away from the Hyper Healer power, while Kiriko’s Clone Conjuration received further adjustments, returning its duration to five seconds, but drastically reducing the healing and damage that it deals.
This update also implemented some fixes for bugs, some of which players have noticed since the start ofOverwatch 2Season 17. An issue that was preventing the new Aatlis Flashpoint map from appearing in 6v6 games has been resolved, as has a problem with the Ancient Caller Moira Mythic skin that led to it being disabled, even for those who owned it. Additionally, Replay Codes and Highlights from the previous patch have been wiped.
This small update is separate fromOverwatch 2’s upcoming mid-season patch. The larger patch will include more balance adjustments, changes to the New Junk City and Suravasa Flashpoint maps, and the trial weekend for Wuyang, the water-themed support hero previously known by the codename Aqua. What’s more, if several in-game Easter eggs are any indication,Overwatch 2may be planning a collaboration with Nerfon or around this time. The mid-season update does not have a release date yet, but it will likely arrive on July 22 or 29, as that would put it halfway between Season 17’s launch on June 24 and Season 18’s scheduled start on August 26.
Overwatch 2 Stadium Patch Notes – June 01, 2025
REPLAY CODES RESET
This is a bug fix patch along with additional Stadium balance updates. In-Game Replay Codes and Highlights from the previous patch are removed.
TANK
D.Va
Developer Comments: Tokki Slam was originally toned down due to its disruptive potential, but after observing its performance over a full season, it’s clear the impact was reduced a bit too much. We’re bringing some power back to the ability to give D.Va that big slam-dunk moment she deserves which is rewarding well-timed engages with satisfying payoff.
DAMAGE
Junkrat
Developer Comments: Junkrat has brought his branded mayhem to Stadium but mostly on the back of his Weapon focused powers. We’re adding some power to some of his Ability Power focused powers and items to help make them more attractive options.
Mei
Developer Comments: Snowball Flight now synergizes with Twice as Ice, expanding Mei’s mobility options and enabling more frequent use of Mini-Blizzard. This update gives her more fluid movement and crowd control opportunities, encouraging dynamic play and rewarding smart positioning.
SUPPORT
Ana
Developer Comments: Ana remains one of the most impactful heroes when it comes to empowering her teammates, and this patch leans further into that strength. We’re enhancing her ability to turn the tide of battle with key utility, particularly by increasing the impact of Biotic Grenade to create more high-stakes, high-reward moments in critical team fights. These changes aim to make Ana an even more decisive force in coordinated play.
Juno
Developer Comments: At higher MMR tiers, Juno has earned the nickname “Flying Tracer” for good reason. Her survivability, especially after Round 3, made her extremely slippery and difficult to deal with. This base adjustment is focused on slightly reducing her survival capability to keep her challenging without feeling unfair to eliminate.
Kiriko
Developer Comments: We’re shifting Kiriko’s clone to serve its role as a decoy and utility tool, rather than functioning as a lethal, cold-blooded assassin. This adjustment is the first step toward making the ability feel more fair, interactive, and enjoyable for both Kiriko players and their opponents. More updates are planned to further refine its identity and gameplay impact.
Zenyatta
Developer Comments: While Zenyatta has often leaned toward offensive playstyles, we’re making adjustments to encourage his healing focused builds as well. These changes aim to better support players who want to take on a more traditional support role and provide stronger team-wide healing presence.
