Overwatch 2 Fan Turns Heroes into KPop Demon Hunters' Huntrix
KPop Demon Hunters' main protagonists are Huntrix, a trio of young women who perform as a K-pop girl group and also fight demons. Each member has a distinct appearance, and Laurastar14 managed to match them withOverwatch 2heroes. Since Widowmaker has a prominent ponytail, she’s ideal for the Rumi model, who’s known for her vibrant braided ponytail. The artist also created an “Ultimate Ability” form where Widowmaker Rumi’s demon patterns glow when it’s active. Kiriko Zoey is also a nice match since both characters share similar hairstyles, and they use throwing knives in combat. Lastly, Mira’s tough demeanor makes her the perfect model for Ashe.KPop Demon Huntershas many iconic outfitsfor Huntrix, which would be awesome to see onOverwatch 2heroes as well.
Overwatch 2previously collaborated with LE SSERAFIMfor a skin line, which was received very well by fans. This shows just how popular K-pop is around the world, especially seeing how games likeFortniteandPUBGhave also seen success with their respective girl group collaborations. Although theKPop Demon Huntersskins are merely a concept, it’s also not that farfetched for Blizzard to potentially jump on the hype before it dies down. Of course, the studio could also continue collaborating with LE SSERAFIM and other popular K-pop groups in the future.
