Today marks the release ofPokemon TCG Pocket’s Eevee Grove set, and it’s already proving to be a hit among fans of the series.Pokemon TCG Pocket’s card list for Eevee Grovedidn’t come out until the set was released, and it does include a fair share of surprises. For example, there are no other Ex Eeveelutions other than Flareon and Sylveon, which were revealed with the trailer, and, outside of Eevee Ex itself, the remaining Ex cards are dedicated to Primarina, Dragonite, and Snorlax. The meta is very much in its first stages now, and fans will need to wait a little while before it settles. However, a new card is already a winner and is very easy to get.

Several cards that one may have expected to see in Eevee Grove are either absent or different from possible predictions, such as the set only including two new Supporter cards or the fact thatPokemon TCG Pocketfinally has Snorlax Ex and Dragonite Ex, but from an Eevee-themed set. Still, there are many powerful cards that will eventually creep their way into the meta or, at the very least, create new strategies. One of these is the new Tsareena, which is a powerhouse, and it’s just an uncommon card.

Why Pokemon TCG Pocket Players Shouldn’t Miss This Uncommon Card in Eevee Grove

Tsareena from Eevee Grove has 140 HP, a Retreat Cost of two, it’s weak to Fire damage, and it has the Kick Down attack, albeit with no ability. At first glance, this may seem like a mediocre card, but it can attack for 50 damage with just one Energy. Kick Down also reveals a random card from the opponent’s hand and puts it into their deck. This card is incredibly powerful for several reasons:

In fact, the biggest downside to using Tsareena is that it’s a Stage 2 card, meaning it needsPokemon TCG Pocket’s Rare Candyto get online as soon as possible. However, if players go first, Tsareena can technically be ready to attack on turn three of the entire match, which is incredibly good.

It’s also worth noting that Tsareena is a 2-Diamond card, meaning that players can easily get it by simply opening packs or purchasing it with 70 Pack Points.

How Pokemon TCG Pocket Players Can Further Improve Tsareena

Pokemon TCG Pocket’s Shiinoticcould easily be paired with Tsareena and make it more consistent, thanks to its Illuminate ability that fetches a Pokemon card from the deck once per turn. This can also be used multiple times if players have two copies of Shiinotic on the field, which, with Professor’s Research, makes it very easy to get all the cards one might need to get the combo going.

Tsareena does deal good damage for the first few turns of a match, but after that, players may need big hitters to close the game. Thankfully, there are several great ones, suchPokemon TCG Pocket’s Decidueye Ex, Mewoscarada, Buzzwole Ex, and more. It remains to be seen whether Tsareena will truly see usage in competitive matches, but it’s a very powerful card that allows for some form of control deck to be played, and one that players should keep an eye on.
