Things have gotten serious in the Elbaf arc ever since Imu took over Gunko’s body. The leader of the World Government has decided to take matters into their own hands and bring Elbaf to its knees. So far, no one in Elbaf has looked strong enough to beat Imu, which strongly implies that a few powerfulOne Piececharacters will have to team up to get the job done. One of the primecandidates for dealing with Imu is Loki, the Accursed Prince of Elbaf.
Luffy Has Asked Loki To Join The Straw Hat Pirates
Luffy is the freest person in One Piece. He is not shackled by outdated ideas, and he follows his gut. Recently, Luffy askedLoki to join the Straw Hat Pirates, which isn’t entirely out of character for him. He extended the offer to many people in previous arcs, even if he didn’t know their entire past. Luffy’s decision to ask Loki to join the crew has caused quite a stir.
Most people don’t want Loki to roam around because of his destructive nature. However, Luffy has reassured Hajrudin and everyone else that he’ll beat up Loki if the latter tries to harm the people of Elbaf. Considering Luffy is one of the strongest characters in One Piece, it is safe to assume that he can stop Loki fromcausing any damage to Elbafand the other Giants. There’s no doubt that Loki joining the Straw Hats would be an excellent decision, but there is one major problem.
Loki Joining The Straw Hats Might Ruin The Monster Trio
The Monster Trio consists of the three strongest fighters within the Straw Hat Pirates. Currently, it comprises Luffy, Zoro, and Sanji. All three of them are extremely powerful individuals who can turn the tide of battle on their own. If Loki joins the Straw Hats, it will ruin the dynamic of the Monster Trio. At the moment, Loki is stronger than Zoro and Sanji, meaning he would only be second to Luffy in terms of strength. This would push Sanji out of the Monster Trio, which would ruin the dynamic.
The only way to fix this problem is by giving Zoro and Sanji enough power boosts so that they become stronger than Loki. Zoroalready has access to Conqueror’s Haki, and he would go above Loki if he could master it in Elbaf. On the other hand, Sanji has yet to awaken Conqueror’s Haki. So, Eiichiro Oda will need to give him a power-up, like Conqueror’s Haki. Alternatively, Oda could give Sanji another genetic ability that would put him on equal footing with Zoro and above Loki.
Loki Could Be The Final Straw Hat
Loki Has Many Reasons To Join The Straw Hat Pirates
Through the years, there have been many characters who have been close to joining the Straw Hat Pirates, but Oda had other plans for them. The most recent one was Yamato, who seemed destined to become a Straw Hat, but she changed her mind at the last moment. If Yamato had joined the crew, she would have instantly become the second-strongest member of the crew, above the likes of Zoro and Sanji. This would have caused problems, and that’s why Oda decided against joining the crew.
Join my crew, man!!! —Luffy to Loki
With Loki, Oda will have to go through the same predicament, but this time, he can fix things. As previously stated, Oda needs to give Zoro and Sanji new power-ups that will put them on the same level as Loki or slightly above him. If Lokiends up joining the Straw Hat Pirates, it will help them in the upcoming arcs. He is a behemoth that is capable of dealing with all kinds of threats.
Additionally, it would be rather symbolic for a giant to team up with the Sun God. The people of Elbaf believe in Nika, so it makes perfect sense for Loki to join the Straw Hats. Currently, it is unclear whether Loki will decide to join the Straw Hats, but considering he is treated so badly by the Giants, it would make sense for him to get a fresh start elsewhere.
