Summary

Dreams are the central component behind the journeys of every single character inOne Piece. Everyone sets out to sea or otherwise devotes their lives to seeing their dreams through to the end, with the most obvious of these being Luffy’s ultimate goal of becoming the King of the Pirates to become the freest person in the world. Although many spend their entire lives without achieving their goals, these ambitions define who they are.

As such, it’s only natural for some dreams to be way harder to make a reality than others, since they are, by definition, supposed to be lofty ambitions that areincredibly difficult to achieve. However, there are some dreams inOne Piecethat seem almost impossible to do, requiring only the strongest wills to see through to the end, though some seem entirely unrealistic. So, let’s go over which are the hardest of these to achieve.

Drum Island

Although he is hilariously aloof at times, Chopper is perhaps the most talented doctor in the entireOne Pieceworld. Over the many arcs of the series, he has been shown to have unparalleled medical knowledge which he has often used to cure people from diseases that outright seemed impossible to deal with, even for other talented doctors. One thing that comes to mind is when he reversed the effects of the Ice Oni Virus that was created by Queen during the Wano arc, which was said to be incurable.

There is no disease in this world that can’t be cured!

However, despite his obvious affinity for the medical profession, Chopper’s dream of wanting to cure every disease in the world seems almost impossible. The main reason for this is the fact that there are innumerable ailments that likely exist on specific islands and locations that he has never even heard about before, making this even more difficult to bring into reality. However, if there is anyone who can do it, it’s Chopper.

Loguetown

To this day, Dragon remains one of the most mysterious but presumably powerful characters in the entire setting, and due to being the mastermind behind the Revolutionary Army and, formerly, the Freedom Fighters, he became known as the World’s Worst Criminal. The brief amount of time that Dragon spent in the Navy showed him the ugly truth of the world, which was that the very organization he served was merelythe puppet of the Celestial Dragons, propagating their injustice instead of fighting it.

Someday, I promise you, they will all watch as I change the world!

Because of this, Dragon has since worked against the World Government, using the Revolutionary Army to take the fight to them. However, this institution is mighty and has been in control of the world for over 800 years, so his dream of toppling its regime and freeing the world from its unjust oppression is an incredibly difficult one to achieve. However, unlike the others, this may be coming into reality sooner than anticipated.

There is a general misconception regarding Tashigi’s dream, which most have always thought was to collect every single one of the Named Blades in the series. In fact, what she truly wants is toreclaim all those legendary swordsthat have fallen into the hands of ‘evil men’. However, this still doesn’t help her case since, being a Marine, she considers all pirates in general to be these kinds of evil men who live their lives away from the rules set by the Navy and World Government.

It’s not that I want the swords. I just don’t want evil men to have them.

The reason why this is such an impossible feat to achieve is because the Named Blades, or Meito, are only used by some of the most important and powerful characters in the entire world who she simply isn’t even close to in terms of strength. For example, since she generally considers pirates to be evil, she has to go up against Mihawk for his legendary sword, Yoru, or even Shiryu to reclaim his sword Raiu, both of which are confirmed to be Meito. Such an undertaking would only be possible if the strongest characters in history on the level of Rocks, Roger, or Whitebeard decided to do it, but for someone like Tashigi, such a dream is entirely unrealistic.

Fishman Island

Although Big Mom was an Emperor of the Sea and generally considered to be one of the most powerful and evil characters in the entire series, her ultimate dream was quite a noble one.Big Mom hated inequalitybetween different peoples, so she planned to create a massive utopia consisting of all the races of the world living together in peace and harmony, though the way she went about doing this was quite peculiar.

Just find a way to get along, my children!

However, as good as this goal is, it’s almost entirely impossible to achieve, since there are innumerable races in theOne Pieceworld, many of whom have nuanced backgrounds and cultures, with some even outright hating Big Mom altogether. To add on top of this, she is one of the most unstable characters in the series, so any dream of living in peace and harmony is entirely predicated on her mood swings.
