One Pieceis currentlyin the Elbaf arc, and it is here that Oda has finally decided to introduce Rocks D. Xebec in the story properly. For years, fans were wondering when Rocks D. Xebec would make his proper debut in the story, yet Oda never seemed to want to touch that subject, until now. InOne Piecechapter 1154, Oda has finally decided to dive deep into the character of Rocks, and as such, fans will now see all about him, as far as his time in Elbaf is concerned.
Things are certainly going to get very exciting moving forward in the Elbaf arc, and if they’re lucky, fans might even see the events of the God Valley Incident, where Rocks D. Xebec supposedly died. But, given that Oda has never truly shown the fans how Rocks died, it is entirely possible that he is still lurking somewhere in the world ofOne Piece.
Oda Has Spoken About Rocks D. Xebec’s Return As The Lurking Legend
Rocks D. Xebec was first introduced in the One Piecestory in 2017. This was around the time of Jump Festa, where Oda stated quite clearly that he was now ready to enter the Wano arc, and that he would introduce a lurking legend who would also be related to Whitebeard. Here’s what Oda had to say about him:
I’ll introduce one of the legends that lurks in the ONE PIECE world. The greatest enemy ever for the Straw Hats will hinder their way. Perhaps it will be something related to Whitebeard. Of course, Oda didn’t reveal too much about this mysterious man, but fans put two and two together when Rocks D. Xebec came up. Since then, unfortunately, fans haven’t received much information about Rocks, apart from bits and pieces. Now, however, in the Final Saga, it seems that Rocks D. Xebec is more important than ever before, and Oda is finally shedding light on him through Loki.
