One Pieceis home to some of the strongest anime characters of all time. From having the power to control light to making others immortal, there is truly no shortage of strong characters in One Piece. Eiichiro Oda has ensured that he doesn’t introduce too many overpowered characters in a short period of time.
Currently, the manga is focused on the Elbaf arc, which has many noteworthy characters with immense skill. However, Eiichiro Oda has yet to introduce a character who is stronger than Kaido.
Kaido Is Underrated By Some One Piece Fans
Kaido Is By Far The Strongest Creature In One Piece
Kaido was known as the ‘strongest creature in the world,’ meaning that he was a cut above everyone else in terms of strength.When Kaido was introduced, the narrator called him the strongest. He has been called the strongest by other noteworthy characters. There’s even a chapter affirming the claim of Kaido being the strongest creature in the world.
Kaido’s strength is downplayed by fans because of the way his fight against Luffy played out. However, it is important to remember a few key details. First of all, the main reason for Kaido’s defeat was his cavalier attitude. He knew that the Supernovas, including Luffy, were far too weak to pose a threat to him. So, he decided to toy with them instead of fighting seriously.
Secondly,Kaido almost never fought Luffy alone. He had to deal with the Scabbards, Yamato, Momonosuke, Kid, Zoro, Law, and Luffy. Fighting so many characters inevitably takes a toll on a person’s stamina, and Kaido isn’t different. But it’s also worth mentioning that Kaido was fighting all these characterswhile holding the island of Onigashima afloatwith his power.
Thirdly, Oda had to give Luffy a massive power-up to even compete with Kaido. For the majority of the arc, Luffy was slightly above the level of the strongest Yonko Commander, but while fighting Kaido, he became as powerful as a Yonko. It is also extremely important to remember that Luffy fought Kaido multiple times before eventually beating him.
Oda Has Not Introduced Anyone Stronger Than Kaido
After the conclusion of the Wano Country arc, Oda introduced characters like the Gorosei, the Holy Knights, Scopper Gaban, and Loki, but none of them are stronger than Kaido. All of them are armed with dangerous abilities, but they cannot beat Kaido in a 1v1.
Scopper Gaban is way past his prime, and he admitted that he implied that he couldn’t go to Wano because of Kaido’s presence. Loki’s strength is unknown, but he is certainly not a Yonko-level character. The Holy Knights have varying power levels. Some of them are stronger than Admirals, while a couple might be close to a Yonko’s strength. The Gorosei are certainly a good call, but it is strongly implied that they were wary of Kaido. The latter possessed a Mythical Zoan-type Devil Fruit that allowed him to transform into an Azure Dragon at will. Kaido also had access to all three types of Haki, and he could use them expertly without any problems.

Kaido Is The Strongest Pirate Of His Era
Considering his insane feats,Kaido undoubtedly deserves more respect. While characters from the older generation were certainly powerful, they were not invincible by any means, yet they are treated with a great deal of respect by fans. However, it is about time that Kaido is mentioned in the same breath as them. Fans can debate who is stronger than whom, but one thing is certain: Kaido is in the same group as them.

Another thing to keep in mind is that Kaido might yet play a role in the Final Saga of One Piece, as his death has not been officially confirmed. The same goes for Big Mom, who lost her fight against Trafalgar Law and Eustass Kid. Whether or not the two will be involved is unknown, but fans shouldn’t rule out the possibility.
