One Piece’sElbaf arc is moving at quite an astonishing pace, and fans know very well that this arc is going to be one to be remembered for years. With so many incredible characters, it is no surprise to know that Elbaf is as good as it is.
Out of the many characters that Oda has highlighted in the Elbaf arc ofOne Piece, the one that has captured the attention of the fans the most is the Accursed Prince, Loki. He’s known to be incredibly powerful, but more than that, it is said that he ate the legendary Devil Fruit of Elbaf. Oda hasn’t revealed the truth about Loki’s Devil Fruit yet, but the answer might already be staring the fans in their faces.
Loki Is Said To Have Eaten Elbaf’s Legendary Devil Fruit
Loki’s fruit was mentioned during the Whole Cake Island arc of One Piece, but back then, not much information about him and his powers was made known to the fans. In Elbaf, however, Oda revealed a ton of exciting bits and pieces. Immediately after he was mentioned, it was said that Loki is the Accursed Prince of Elbaf, and that he killed his own father in bloodlust. It was also said that Loki holds tremendous power, such that he can destroy the entirety of Elbaf on his own, and even the world. Loki himself believes that he’s the Sun God, and that his mission is to destroy the whole world.
I’m the Sun God Who Will destroy the world! — Loki
Loki calling himself the Sun God and the people of Elbaf believing that he ate the legendary Devil Fruit of the country are linked. In other words, Loki could’ve gottenthe power of Sun God Nikafrom the legendary Devil Fruit of Elbaf. However, as fans know, that couldn’t be further from the truth.
Loki Might Be Lying About His Devil Fruit Power
Loki Might Not Have Any Devil Fruit
Most fans operate under the assumption that Loki does, in fact, have a legendary Devil Fruit in his possession. However, that might not be the case. Loki is a liar, but most of all, it seems that he’s also capable of lying for good. InOne Piecechapter 1152, it was confirmed that Loki didn’t actually kill King Harald. He and Jarul found Harald stabbed by the Giants and we’re utterly shocked. Meanwhile, Gaban and Shanks witnessed a shadowy figure stealthe Legendary Devil Fruit of Elbaf.
I’m not going to listen to a Government lapdog like Harald! — Loki
It is quite clear to see that Loki didn’t actually eatthis legendary Devil Fruitat all. In fact, it is highly likely that he ate some other fruit. But, another possibility exists, and that is Loki not having any Devil Fruit at all.
The Giants are a proud country, and knowing the World Government killed their king and stole their fruit would most likely cause them to rebel and go to war. But, Harald wanted to prevent wars and turn to peace. It is highly likely that Loki understood that, and that’s why he decided to take the blame for Harald’s death. Loki most likely also took the blame for eatingthe Legendary Devil Fruitof Elbaf. This way, Elbaf wouldn’t go to war and would instead turn their fury to Loki, who was then tied up. In a way, Loki helped maintain peace in Elbaf, and he did so by becoming the one who shoulders all the burdens of his country, as well as the dreams of his father.
