It was revealed to the fans that Rocks is the father of Blackbeard, and naturally, most fans consider Teach to be his second coming. The truth of the matter is that Rocks’s real successor has already been revealed by Oda.
Rocks D. Xebec Makes His Debut In One Piece
One Piecechapter 1154 officiallyrevealed Rocks D. Xebec to the fans, and it goes without saying that this character is extremely exciting. Rocks appeared briefly in the chapter, but he will continue to feature in the next few chapters of the manga as well. The first mention of Rocks came through Jarul and Harald, who spoke of the murder incident at the Reverie. It appears that Rocks infiltrated the Reverie and then went on to kill an Admiral of the Navy who stood as guard at the event. Then, Rocks proceeded to flee and this earned him a bounty in the billions. While the exact bounty hasn’t been revealed to the fans just yet, it is sure to be very high.

8 years later, he appearedin the country of Elbaf, and it is there that he met Loki for the very first time. Now, these two will get to know each other better, and of course, Loki will come to admire him for the kind of person that he is.
Blackbeard Is Rocks’s Son, But Loki Carries Rocks’s Will

One Piecechapter 1154showed not only Rocks’s full character design to the fans, but also went on to show the fans who his son was. Oda confirmed in the chapter that Rocks D. Xebec is the father of Blackbeard, which is why most fans now associate Blackbeard with Rocks. Of course, this is only valid, especially given that Blackbeard clearly intends to follow in his footsteps, becoming the ruler of the Pirate Island and even calling his own ship The Saber of Xebec. But, that doesn’t make him the successor of Rocks.

There is one character that Oda has already revealed who appears to be far more worthy, and that’s Loki. Loki admires Rocks from the bottom of his heart, and it is also likely that Rocks was the reason he stopped being suicidal.
Rocks Is Loki’s Shanks
In Loki’s mind,Rocks is his idol, regardless of whether he’s dead or alive. More than that, Loki admires Rocks in a similar manner to how Luffy admires Shanks. Loki isn’t Rocks’s son, but that matters little in a series where Inherited Will is a core theme. Blackbeard may be Rocks’s son, but the legacy will be carried on by Loki.
