One change not mentioned in the update’s patch notes, however, is that the Dark Brotherhood’s door inOblivion Remasteredhas finally been fixed. Originally spotted by gamers soon after the release, theDark Brotherhood’s door inOblivion Remastereddid not have the iconic blood-red light and featured the Night Mother slaying seven kids. This disappointed some fans, as not only did they think the whole vibe of the entrance was ruined, but the five kids represented the actual number of her children the Night Mother murdered when she conceived with Sithis, the Void’s god, in the setting. According to the lore, she’s then murdered by townsfolk, before turning into an immortal being that players find in the game. As spotted byPC Gamer, however, the door now has its classic red glow, and the number of children has been rightly reduced to five once more.
