A creativeNo Man’s Skyplayer has done their part in extending the reach of iconic restaurant franchise Pizza Hut into the cosmos by building a branch of the restaurant in the game to use as a base.No Man’s Skyallows players to build customized home bases using a variety of parts and place them on or above one of the nearly infinite number of procedurally generated planets in the in-game universe.
No Man’s Skyis approaching nearly a decade in operation, and the game has come a long way since its launch. After its release in 2016, the game was lambasted by many players for allegedly failing to include features that were hyped up before launch. Over the course of dozens of post-release updates, both major and minor, developer Hello Games has improvedNo Man’s Sky, meeting those early promises and going far beyond, giving players tools to establish themselves and share their creations in one of thelargest open-world games ever. And over the years, the fan community has responded, turningNo Man’s Sky’s universe into a uniquely creative multiplayer RPG, sharing unique discoveries and showing off new base projects.
While many players have used the in-game base-building tools to erect fantastic-lookingrestaurants inNo Man’s Sky, player johnwilliams713 on Reddit opted to build their base in the style of none other than Pizza Hut. They shared images of their stunning recreation of the iconic pizza place, located on the planet of Effigy IV in the Euclid Galaxy, with the community. The most notable aspect of their Pizza Hut base is its replication of the restaurant’s instantly recognizable hat-like roof silhouette. The silhouette has proved so distinctive that the Pizza Hut company itself uses the shape as a major element of its corporate logo.
No Man’s Sky Player Expands Universal Fast Food Empire With In-Game Pizza Hut Base
In their recreation of Pizza Hut usingNo Man’s Sky’s in-game resources, johnwilliams713 followed the rough layout of a classic-era Pizza Hut restaurant, even including a pizza and salad bar-style buffet line, a feature not included in every real-life location. The branch also contained a working kitchen, and a game area stocked with replicas ofarcade machines likeDance Dance Revolution, air hockey, and a driving cabinet in the vein ofOutrun. The Pizza Hut is the latest in a series ofNo Man’s Skyrestaurants by johnwilliams713. On the same planet, they also recreated a Waffle House branch as well as a version of Texas-based convenience store chain Buc-ee’s.
Players roundly praised johnwilliams713’s work, suggesting that the recreation is good enough to function as an officially commissioned Pizza Hut crossover. The Pizza Hut company itself is no stranger to promotions involving games and other pop-culture brands, though official crossovers tend to happen outside the United States, such as with thePizza Hut andGenshin Impactco-promotion. Whatever the case, it looks like Effigy IV could be a hub world of sorts for a budding fast food empire.
