The Sims 4has released a new update patch that fixes multiple problems players have been facing in the game, but the development team still hasn’t been able to work out one of its biggest issues. While the latest patch forThe Sims 4fixes problems with drag-and-drop functionality, the Sharing and Caring White Board, and unsettling gnome movement, there is no clear end in sight for problems with several pregnancy-related features.

Problems with pregnancy started following theearly July update toThe Sims 4, which itself was put in place to deal with glitches and bugs ahead of the release of the Enchanted by Nature expansion, along with some quality-of-life improvements. Changes in the last update included reworking of Sims' personal inventories, to make sorting items easier, and improvements to the notebook.

But an unintended consequence was the addition ofnumerous pregnancy bugs toThe Sims 4, which include players losing the ability to have their Sims take pregnancy tests or even make use of the “Try For Baby” option. The latest patch, announced by EA on the game’s officialwebsite, has announced multiple bug fixes for July 10, the launch date of Enchanted by Nature. However, the game’s social media team, in response to a fan’s question, clarified that pregnancy issues have not yet been resolved. There is good news, as the post states that the team has identified the issues and is “working to revert these changes to resolve the issues as soon as possible,” but no date has been set for a resolution.

While fixing pregnancy-related issues in the game, which also include graphical representation that Sims have become pregnant, is still a ways off, the latest patch resolves several other problems. One of these relates to the Sharing and Caring Whiteboard introduced in the Businesses and Hobbies expansion, which is an essential tool needed for running orattending a hobby class inThe Sims 4. Many players have been unable to place a whiteboard in recent days, but the patch should make it available again.

There are also new improvements toBuild Mode inThe Sims 4that rectify some recently added issues. Gnomes will no longer wiggle erratically, and seed packets received from them can once again go into Sims' inventories. Spoiled food can once again be dragged to the trash or sink directly from inventories, making clean-up easier. And named plants are no longer at risk of losing their names or other added information when added to lots with other plants acquired from the Gallery.
