Boruto: Two Blue Vortexhas been on a tremendous run as of late, and fans know very well that that series is deserving of all the hype that it is getting right now. That said, if there’s one thing that’s stopping it from reaching sky-high levels of popularity right now, it’s the fact that two of the biggest and most popular characters in the whole franchise, Naruto and Sasuke, are currently being cast aside, all for the growth of the next generation, and to keep fans hooked so they eventually find out their fate.
While they’re not returning anytime soon,Kishimoto has already set up the ultimate final battlefor both Naruto and Sasuke, and it is going to be against a monstrously powerful Otsutsuki.
Naruto And Sasuke Will Eventually Return In Boruto
Both Naruto and Sasuke are currently sealed awayor incapacitated in different ways, and the author has taken this decision to specifically cut them out of the plot. It is sad in a way, given that it practically confirms that the author doesn’t have any idea of how to incorporate them into the story without devaluing either them or the next generation of characters. Regardless, even the author ofBoruto, Ikemoto, can’t keep them away for long and eventually, they will return. Naruto Uzumaki is alive and well, but sealed away by Kawaki. At some point, Naruto will be unsealed, and this will likely be after the battle between Boruto Uzumaki and Kawaki.
Let’s get this over with then, Sasuke! — Naruto and Sasuke Vs Momoshiki
Meanwhile,Sasuke Uchiha was turned into a treeand fans will likely not see him be freed anytime soon. If Jura falls before Hidari, then the latter will be made the main villain, meaning that Sasuke’s return will be delayed until around the time Naruto comes back. But, that still doesn’t mean that they won’t play a big role in Boruto. The two will eventually return, and when they do, it’ll be incredibly exciting to see them fight to the best of their abilities again.
The Next Enemy For Naruto And Sasuke Will Be An Otsutsuki
The Otsutsuki Threat Is Still Looming
When Naruto and Sasuke return, there is only going to be one more threat for them to deal with, and that isthe threat of the Otsutsuki Clan. The likes of Code will have already been dealt with in Boruto, and of course, the Shinju will no longer threaten Earth. However, there are numerous Otsutsuki, and they can’t all be taken out by Boruto and Kawaki. In fact, they’ve not even fought one Otsutsuki so far and beaten them successfully. Given the sheer number of this clan, Naruto and Sasuke I’ll be involved in the upcoming battles against them, and that’s a given.

Shibai Otsutsuki Could Be The Final Villain
Kishimoto could also do the unthinkableby introducing Shibai Otsutsukias the next villain in theBorutoseries, similar to how Madara was set up to be the ultimate villain in the Fourth Great Ninja War. In this case, the support of Naruto and Sasuke would be absolutely needed, and it could also be their final battle before retirement from ninja life. Naruto and Sasuke will fight once again later down the line, and fans absolutely cannot wait to see that.
