He Will Do Things He Wasn’t Able To Do With My Hero Academia

Horikoshi is one of the biggest faces in the manga industry. The author has created one of the best-known shonen series of the last decade,My Hero Academia.

Last year, his famous manga, My Hero Academia reached its conclusion with chapter 431. This was a very sad moment for fans all over the world.Horikoshi has dropped new content for the story, such as a fan book, artbook, and even one-shots, but nothing can truly replace the manga.

WhileMy Hero Academiais not coming back, and is not getting a sequel, many fans were pleasedto learn that Horikoshiis planning a new manga. The details remain a mystery, but recently, Horikoshi had an interview in Men’s NON-NO 26-05-2025 issue where he answered various questions, with one about his new manga.

Horikoshi revealed that he’s in the concept stage of this new series at the moment, and that he will do some things that he was unable to do withMHA.

Question: Are you considering doing another manga?

Horikoshi: Yes, I’m already in the concept stage. Luckily, there is something I still want to do that I couldn’t do with MHA, so I’m hoping to channel that feeling into this. When I announce my next series, I hope it will be in Weekly Shonen Jump. So, I’m working on the concept now, thinking about how I want to challenge myself to Jump one more time.
