If it premieres on international streaming platforms at the same time, it will debut in the US at 8 a.m. PT / 11 a.m. ET on July 5. For those living outside the US, here are a few time zone references for this estimate:
Where to Watch My Dress-Up Darling Season 2
My Dress-Up Darlingwill be streamedin all countries where Crunchyroll operatesglobally, excluding Japan, China, South Korea, and Mongolia. The service is expected to dub the new episodes, just like it did with the previous ones.
Netflix Asia typically streams most seasonal anime, so it is possible that the service will air it in select territories. The first season is currently available in Hong Kong, Japan, Malaysia, the Philippines, Singapore, South Korea, and Thailand on Netflix Asia. Other streaming services may also air the series in select countries around the world.
Will My Dress-Up Darling Season 2 Be the Last?
The first season aired from January to March 2022, totaling 12 episodes. The second season is expected to follow a similar pattern, especially since studio CloverWorks rarely handles series with consecutive cours. My Dress-Up Darling Season 2will likelybegin with Chapter 40, where the previous season left off. If it follows a similar pacing, the new season should cover from the Arisa Izayoi arc to the Coffin arc.
That would leave only one more arc, Mandate of Heaven (from Chapter 86 to Chapter 108), left to be adapted. However, this arc doesn’t seem to have enough content for a full season of 12 episodes. So, the production team might either rush the pacing to fit everything in, or slow it down to leave at least the Coffin Arc (or most of it) and the Mandate of Heaven Arc for the third season. Another option would be to follow the same pacing and adapt the final arc into a movie. Either way, the marketing for the series hasn’t focused on it being the last one, soit seems unlikely that this will be the final season.
Is the Ending of My Dress-Up Darling Good?
Themanga ended a few months ago, with a total of 108 chapters and 14 volumes. However, while the series was a hit within a relatively large manga niche, most fans didn’t like the ending of the story. In fact, they felt that the conclusion was rushed, but most of them didn’t complain that much since the author, Shinichi Fukuda, was making a strong effort to keep writing the story. The manga went through many hiatuses due to Fukuda’s health issues in the past few years, so fans generally were sympathetic to her situation.
