Even now,Deceptionremains a unique chapter in the series' three-decade lifespan. Konquest gave players the opportunity to experience the world ofMortal Kombatin a completely new light, allowing for a deeper exploration of the franchise’s lore.
Earthrealm, Netherrealm, Chaosrealm, Outworld, Orderrealm, and Edenia are all featured in Konquest, and as Shujinko explores each location, fans get a first-hand glimpse of some of the franchise’s most important settings. BeforeDeception,Mortal Kombathad merely scratched the surfacewith these various realms, and the game’s embrace of showcasing them within an open-world story adds an extra layer of depth that had yet to be seen.
Beyondthe groundbreaking Konquest mode, the classic fighting mode features its own innovations. Stages inDeceptionare turn up the dial on interactive features, which makes matches feel far more dynamic and unpredictable. As of now, there are no known plans to bring backDeception, but if that day happens, it will be an exciting development for a lot of longtimeMortal Kombatfans.
