Title Update 3 Monster Predictions

Arch-Tempered Nu Udra

In each ofMonster Hunter Wilds’ Title Updates, one of the game’s monsters has been affected by the Arch-tempered state. Players have been given the opportunity to fight these creature variants as part of a limited-time event since theArch-tempered state was first introduced inMonster Hunter World, granting players exclusive rewards after each hunt. So far, two monsters inMonster Hunter Wildshave received Arch-tempered forms, and there is an obvious pick for which should be added next.

The first Arch-tempered monster included in Title Update 1 was Rey Dau, one of the game’s four Apex Predators. The content for Title Update 2 is slowly being added to the game, with Arch-tempered Uth Duna being revealed as the game’s next limited-time event, which players can experience starting from July 29. Like Rey Dau, Uth Duna is anotherApex Predator inMonster Hunter Wilds, establishing a trend. From this, it’s very likely that players will be heading to the Oilwell Basin in Title Update 3 to face off against Arch-tempered Nu Udra.

Next Additional Monster

Title Update 3 is confirmed to be adding another monster to the game, and one is a stronger contender than others. Particularly, the most likely candidate is Gogmazios, an Elder Dragon that debuted inMonster Hunter 4 Ultimateand has yet to be seen since. AMonster Hunter Wildsleakfound code that seemed to hint at Gogmazios being added to the game eventually, and Title Update 3 is the perfect opportunity. Some of the creature’s attacks are oil-based, making it the perfect fit for the Oilwell Basin. If Nu Udra is confirmed to be the next Arch-tempered monster, Gogmazios would be a great monster to release alongside the event.

If Title Update 3 follows the path set out by Title Update 2, there could be two monsters returning toMonster Hunter Wildsin September.Monster Hunter Wildsdoes a great job of representing the entire series with its returning monsters, but aMonster Hunter Frontiercreature remains absent.

Festival of Accord

During the first Title Update, players were treated toMonster Hunter Wilds' Festival of Accord: Blossomdanceevent during the spring, and players can enjoy the Festival of Accord: Flamefete on July 23. As Title Update 3 is scheduled to be released in late September, it’s almost certain that the announced Festival of Accord will have an autumnal theme, giving players the chance to acquire new gear and items fit for the season.

To coincide with this, it’s possible thatMonster Hunter Wildscould receive an equivalent toMonster Hunter World: Iceborne’s Seliana Fun Fright Fest. Like with the Festival of Accord events shown already, it’s likely that the Grand Hub will be decorated to match the theme. Players may also be able to earn Halloween-themed armor for their hunter and Palico as part of the event, as well as decorations for their Pop-up Camps.

Collaboration Event

Monster Hunter Wilds’ Title Update 1 included a Capcom collaboration, giving players access toStreet Fighter’s Akuma as a new set of armor that functionally acts like a new weapon type.Title Update 2 does contain a collab, but it has a much smaller impact on gameplay, giving players a Fender guitar gesture. If Title Update 3 includes another Capcom crossover,Resident Evilwould be a great pick. Its arrival inMonster Hunter Wildscould align with a possible Halloween event, and it could help to build excitement for Capcom’s upcomingResident Evil Requiem.

There is also the possibility that the next Title Update could add a collab monster. The series is no stranger to these, and it would not be unexpected forMonster Hunter Wilds.Monster Hunter Worldhandled these monsters in two ways. One was making a variant of an existing monster based on a third-party property, such asAberrant Deviljho resemblingAttack on Titan’sColossal Titan. The other method is including a monster from another IP directly toMonster Hunter, which is what happened withFinal Fantasy’s Behemoth.

If the nextMonster Hunter WildsTitle Update collaborates withResident Evil, it’s possible that a monster could be inspired by this series. However, there has been some speculation that the crossover will be withGodzilla. This is aMonster Huntercrossoverthat some have waited to see for quite some time, and Title Update 3 making it a reality would be terrific.

While little has been officially revealed aboutMonster Hunter Wilds’ next Title Update, there are plenty of rumors and speculation to keep fans excited. Players will need to wait until closer to September for the content to be revealed, but until then, there is still plenty of content set to release forMonster Hunter Wilds’ Title Update 2, such as the Arch-tempered Uth Duna fight and the Fender Special Collaboration Event.
