Following the release of Title Update 2,Monster Hunter Wildsplayers have reported an ongoing crashing issue when opening the “Equipment Appearance” or “Palico Equipment Appearance” menus when in their tent. While theMonster Hunter Wildsupdate added plenty of fresh content for players to enjoy, it also inadvertently brought some frustrating issues as well, though Capcom is currently working on fixes.

During this month’s Capcom Spotlight 2025 presentation, more was revealed aboutMonster Hunter WildsTitle Update 2, with the fan-favorite beasts Lagiacrus and Seregios being added to the game alongside new missions and gameplay tweaks. Players were also excited about the release of Layered Weapons, allowing for more customization without changing their stats, along with additional equipment, voice lines, pose sets, and much more. The seasonal Festival of Accord: Flamefete event is also on the way soon, with Capcom inviting all players to come and celebrate with their friends. With so much fresh content to look forward to, players have been eagerly diving into this new patch, but unfortunately, not everything has gone to plan.

In a new Twitter post, Capcom acknowledged the issue, which is causing the game to crash when accessing the “Equipment Appearance” or “Palico Equipment Appearance” menus while a player is in their tent. The developers are currently working on a fix, while also eager to address other problems caused by the newest patch, including certain text not displaying correctly and network connection issues. Unfortunately, no workaround for the crashing issue has been reported just yet.

Capcom Is Aware of Equipment Appearance Crashing Issue in Monster Hunter Wilds

Despite its concurrent Steam player count surpassing 1.38 million shortly after its February launch,Monster Hunter Wildshas lost over 98% of its userson the platform. The title has been the victim of a recent review-bombing campaign, with many PC players criticizingMonster Hunter Wilds' technical issues and poor performance across all types of hardware. Beyond this, many players have criticized Capcom for its slow update schedule.

Although Capcom has caught some flak forthe state ofMonster Hunter Wildson PC, it’s been in the news for a far more positive reason as of late. The reveal ofResident Evil Requiemduring Summer Game Fest 2025 prompted instant celebration online, with the survival horror title slated to be released sometime in 2026. Additionally, the sci-fi action-adventure gamePragmata, once thought to be dead in the water, is also planning to launch next year.
