Hot Wheels Back to the Future 40th Anniversary Set

It’s been 40 years sincethe firstBack to the Futurehit theaters, and to celebrate the momentous occasion, Mattel is releasing a special 40th anniversary Hot Wheels set. Along with highly-detailed die-cast versions of the iconic DeLorean Time Machine and the Dr. Emmett Brown-branded truck it first emerges from in the movie, this set includes a small diorama that captures that on-screen moment. This diorama includes the infamous “Twin Pines Mall” sign, which becomes “Lone Pine Mall” after the movie’s time-traveling shenanigans.

Hot Wheels Jaws 50th Anniversary

2025 also marks the 50th anniversary ofSteven Spielberg’sJaws, a movie credited with popularizing the concept of a summer blockbuster. To commemorate its immense influence, Mattel is releasing another Hot Wheels anniversary set, this time presenting fans with a die-cast model of the Orca. This anniversary set also comes in some 1970s-inspired packaging.

Monster High’s Skullector has worn many faces over the last five years. While all of the collectibles mentioned in this list lean into the pop-culture nature of San Diego Comic-Con, none directly reference it as much as this Jurassic World Hammond Collection T. Rex Convention Crasher set. This set includes the “Buck” species ofT. Rex seen inThe Lost World: Jurassic Park, an unsuspecting victim dressed in a rather ironic inflatable T.
