Besides adding new characters, maps, and modes to the game with each major update,Marvel Rivalshas kept its players engaged by regularly dropping new skins for its playable heroes and villains. With a wide array of skins based on characters' comic costumes and live-action appearances, players are able to equip their favorite characters with iconic outfits that make them stand apart on the battlefield. WhileMarvel Rivalsdoes make many of its skins free to obtain through events, the majority of the game’s most desirable skins end up in the in-game shop.

After the recent addition ofMoon Knight’s Phoenix Knight skin and Iron Fist’s Binary Fist skin, the next outfits set to arrive inMarvel Rivals' shop are Thor’s Majestic Raiment skin and Punisher’sDaredevil: Born Againskin. This update is a big deal, as it not only brings new outfits for Thor and Punisher — two characters who are short on cosmetics compared to others — but it is alsoMarvel Rivals' first acknowledgment of the MCU’s Netflix/Disney+Daredevilsaga. While this new Punisher skin is exciting news for theMarvel Rivalscommunity, it also highlights a glaring omission within the game.

Daredevil’s Noticeable Absence From Marvel Rivals

Much like whenMarvel Rivalsgave Wolverine aDeadpool & Wolverineskin before ever adding Deadpool to the game, the addition of Punisher’sDaredevil: Born Againskin begs a simple yet pressing question: where is Daredevil?Marvel Rivalsalready features some of New York’s most popularstreet-level heroes from the Marvel universe, like Spider-Man, Cloak & Dagger, Moon Knight, and the Punisher. But Daredevil — one of Marvel’s most established street-level characters — is still absent from the game’s roster.

Ever sinceMarvel Rivalsfirst released last December, Daredevil has been one of the most heavily requested characters from the game’s playerbase. The character was already a fan favorite, but his popularity boomed after Marvel Studios officially merged the NetflixDaredeviluniverse with the mainline MCU. The character has since appeared inSpider-Man: No Way HomeandShe-Hulk: Attorney at Lawbefore returning in his own series,Daredevil: Born Again. The MCU still seems to have big plans for Daredevil with a second season ofBorn Againon the way that will seemingly tie intoSpider-Man: Brand New Daynow that Jon Bernthal has reportedly been castin the film.

What Daredevil’s Role and Cosmetics in Marvel Rivals Could Look Like

Now thatMarvel Rivalsis officially crossing over withDaredevil: Born Again, fan demand for Daredevil to be added as a character in the game is sure to increase even more. Daredevil would likely be a great fit forMarvel Rivals' Duelist classalongside characters like Moon Knight and the Punisher thanks to his agility and martial arts skills. He would also open the door for even more MCU outfits to enter the game. His original prototype suit from the Netflix series, the gold and red suit fromShe-Hulk, his current red suit fromBorn Again, and the leaked black suit fromBorn Againseason 2 could all be easily translated intoMarvel Rivalsskins should his character join the game.

When to Expect Marvel Rivals' Upcoming Daredevil: Born Again Collab

While the wait for Daredevil continues, the Punisher’sDaredevil: Born Againskin will arrive inMarvel Rivalson June 27 at 10 PM ET. The skin’s rarity and price are still unknown.
