AlongsideMadden NFL 26cover athlete Saquon Barkley, other members of this year’s 99 Club include offensive superstars like Bills QB Josh Allen and Vikings WR Justin Jefferson.
In previous updates, EA Sports revealed that the popularSuperstar Mode will undergo a rework inMadden NFL 26, highlighted by three key features. Career Chapters divide up the eras of a player’s career into a digestible format; the Inner Circle allows players to improve relationships with teammates and coaches, and Game Day Beats offers unique challenges during gameplay. Superstar Mode allows players to import a customEA Sports College Football 26athlete and continue their football career, or create one from the ground up if they just want to jump right in.
Weeks before the launch ofMadden NFL 26, the popular football simulator revealed its seven highest-rated athletes in the upcoming title. In a short video, the NFL and EA Sports confirmed thatMadden NFL 26cover athlete Saquon Barkleyis in the 99 Club, and cited his awareness and ability to evade tackles as key reasons for the high rating. The 99 Club is a title bestowed upon NFL athletes who have been granted an overall rating of 99 inMadden NFLduring a given year. Barkley’s teammate, Eagles RT Lane Johnson, is also in the 99 Club due to his ability to defend against aggressive blitzes on passing downs. Vikings WR Justin Jefferson returns to the 99 Club for the third time in his NFL career, after starting with a rating of 98 inMadden NFL 25.
Who Is in the 99 Club in Madden NFL 26?
Browns DE Myles Garrett is the only defensive player to make this year’s 99 Club. Additionally, Ravens QB Lamar Jackson was granted a 99 overall rating, upfrom a 98 rating inMadden NFL 25. Bills QB Josh Allen made a seven-point jump from 92 to 99 inMadden NFL 26, thanks to his gritty performances throughout the 2024 season. Bengals WR Ja’marr Chase rounds out this year’s 99 Club class following a breakout season in 2024.
WithMadden NFL 26also marking a return to Nintendo consoles, the game will be available on all major platforms starting August 14. EA Sports stated that it will reveal additionalMadden NFL 26player ratings in the days ahead.
