However, the arrival of the Switch 2 has given third-party developers a new platform to work with.

Weeks ahead of the launch ofMadden NFL 26on all platforms, fans got a look at howEA Sports' next entry will run on the Switch 2. Reddit user BuiSauce shared some screenshots on theMaddensubreddit that compared the Switch 2 and Xbox Series X/S versions ofMadden NFL 26. The montage used footage from the July 31 Nintendo Direct and EA Sports' own Gameplay Deep Dive video from June 17. The first screenshots compared a match-up between the Baltimore Ravens and the Miami Dolphins, with the differences in lighting in field conditions being more apparent. The second pair of screenshots showed how a game in the snow looked on each console, with the Switch 2 featuring less visible details. The next pair of screenshots showed how detailed the playing field looked on both systems.

Madden NFL 26 Fans Compare Switch 2 And Xbox Ports

The final pictures focused on Ravens QB Lamar Jackson, as the Switch 2’s version of his introduction was less detailed compared to the Xbox version. While the other versions ofMadden NFL 26have higher graphical fidelity due to running on more powerful hardware, the Switch 2’s portability and lack of an internet connection requirement for local matches were considered positives by BuiSauce. Despite the differences, the Switch 2 andXbox versions ofMadden NFL 26will launch simultaneously on August 14.
