Nod-Krai not only brings massive lore and a new area toGenshin Impact, but also a moon-related Elemental Reaction, called the Lunar reaction. In version 5.8, Ineffa pioneered the release of the Lunar-Charged reaction, which has the sameidea as Electro-Charged, but is labeled as more stable as it considers the entire team’s DMG and can Crit. For curious Travelers, here’sa guide on Lunar-Charged reaction and how to calculate the Lunar-Charged DMG inGenshin Impact.
Lunar-Charged Reaction In Genshin Impact
Lunar-Charged is areaction inGenshin Impactthat happens in place of the normal Electro-Charged. The main features of Lunar-Charged are:
How Does Lunar-Charged Work In Genshin Impact?
Any character that applies Electro or Hydro on an enemy, even if there’s no DMG involved, will be considered as a participant in a Lunar-Charged reaction. Then, there are several steps to calculate the final damage:
If there are fewer than four Electro or Hydro applicators, the damage calculation remains the same, with the other DMG considered as 0 in the calculation.
Lunar-Charged Damage Calculation In Genshin Impact
To dive deeper into the Lunar-Chargeddamage calculations inGenshin Impact, see below:
Step 1
Personal Lunar-Charged DMG: 1.8 * Level Multiplier * (1 + Lunar-Charged Base DMG Bonus) * (1 + Reaction DMG Bonus + EM DMG Bonus) * (1 + Crit DMG) * Enemy RES Multiplier
Description
Level Multiplier
Lunar-Charged reaction DMG scales with the character’s level. At level 90, the Base DMG is ~1447. At level 80, ~1077.6.
→ Consider some errors with the decimals.
Lunar-Charged Base DMG Bonus
Ineffa’s Moonsign Benediction Passive grants aBase DMG Bonusto Lunar-Charged. Not to be confused with the normal DMG Bonus.
Reaction DMG Bonus
Normal reaction DMG Bonus. For example,Fractured HaloPolearm gives 40% more Lunar-Charged DMG.
EM DMG Bonus
Reaction bonus based on Elemental Mastery stat; you’re able to see it in the character’s stat details.Lunar-Charged EM Bonus: ((6 * EM)/(EM + 2000)) * 100%.
Crit DMG
Crit DMG is 0 if the character’s application isn’t considered a Critical hit.
Enemy RES Multiplier
The enemy’s Elemental RES. For Lunar-Charged,Electro RES is considered. An enemy with 10% Electro RES means the RES multiplier is0.9. Not to be confused with the enemy’s DEF or level multiplier.
Step 2
Rank all the personal Lunar-Charged DMG from all Electro or Hydro applicators:
1 (highest Lunar-Charged DMG)
2
3
4 (lowest Lunar-Charged DMG)
Step 3
Sum all the DMG for the final Lunar-Charged DMG:
Final Lunar-Charged DMG: A1 + (A2 / 2) + (A3 / 12) + (A4 / 12)

Ineffa, Xingqiu, and Fischl trigger Lunar-Charged
12772 + (7946 / 2) + (6490 / 12) = 17285
Ineffa, Xingqiu, and Fischl trigger Lunar-Charged (non-Crit)
5063 + (4141 / 2) + (3382 / 12) = 7414
Ineffa and Xingqiu trigger Lunar-Charged. Only Ineffa Crits
12772 + (3382 / 2) = 14463
Ineffa and Xingqiu trigger Lunar-Charged. Only Xingqiu Crits
6490 + (5063 / 2) = 9020
This DMG calculation is in a controlled environment, meaning the difference between who’s applying Hydro/Electro and who’s not will cause the Lunar-Charged DMG to be different in the actual gameplay. Expect a small error in the calculations due to decimals and rounding.
Is Ineffa The Only Lunar-Charged Character In Genshin Impact?
No, Ineffa is not the only Lunar-Chargedcharacter inGenshin Impact, and future characters, likely from Nod-Krai, will be available with Moonsign Benedictions that can enable Lunar-related reactions.
