Lost in Random: The Eternal Dieis a spin-off from the 2021 game Lost in Random, an action-adventure title. Instead, this sequel is a roguelike, taking Aleksandra and her dice Fortune deep within a cursed Dice’s domain. Aleksandra starts with a sword, a classicstarting weapon in many games, but she can unlock three more, including a bow, hammer, and spear.

Also, each weapon inLost in Random: The Eternal Diehas a skill tree attached. Since it’s not easy to grab weapon currency on runs, players have to be wise about their spending. Here’s a quick suggestion of sword upgrades to look out for, which will be ranked based on power and usefulness.

Half A Dozen Defeats in Lost in Random The Eternal Die

6Half A Dozen Defeats

Restore Some Health After Defeating Foes

Restoring health is an important part of any game, especially in a roguelike when there are so few opportunities. Players can find items that will increase their health temporarily, which will also restore some HP in the process. Then there are potions that players can find after encounters or by getting them at shops that pop up in the dungeons.

Half A Dozen Defeats is a Sword of Sixtopia ability that will increase how much potions will restore. It’s a weird ability to attach to a sword in any game, but it’s beneficial regardless. Sometimes, the smartest strategyin a roguelikeis the defensive one.

Random Sharpness in Lost in Random The Eternal Die

5Random Sharpness

Better Chance To Strike Critically

Most games, especially RPGs, give players a chance to hit critically. A critical attack will increase damage be it inaPokemongame, aFinal Fantasygame, or even a game likeLost in Random: The Eternal Die. The chances are typically small but Random Sharpness will increase those chances in this game.

The increased critical chance will not be a huge amount at first, but players can increase it. Players may also want to look into Shrilling Cuts which is another Sword of Sixtopia ability that will increase critical-based damage. Before putting any ranks into that though, players should focus on Random Sharpness as players shouldn’t count their chickens before they are proverbially hatched.

Heat Of Passion in Lost in Random The Eternal Die

4Heat Of Passion

Increase Burn Effects

Besides weapons, players can find Cards in dungeons that will give players abilities that will disappear after a run. It’s like card systems in other games, but there is no sort of deck-building or draw mechanic attached. One great Card inLost in Random: The Eternal Dieis called Spirit of Flames, which has a chance to inflict Burn on an enemy.

Burned enemies will take damage over time, and most players will befamiliar with the status effectas it appears in a lot of games, including 2025’s biggest sensation,Clair Obscur: Expedition 33. Heat of Passion is a Sword of Sixtopia ability inLost in Random: The Eternal Diethat will increase the duration of Burns on any sort of attack inflicted, be it from a trap, weapon attack, or Card skill. A solid strategy would be to get in close to an enemy, inflict them with Burn, and then dash away to let the fire take its natural toll.

Honed By Cinder in Lost in Random The Eternal Die

3Honed By Cinder

Chance To Inflict Burn

Honed By Cinders is a Sword of Sixtopia ability close to Heat of Passion, which will combine well with it. This will give the blade a chance to inflict Burn naturally after a combo chain. Cards like Spirit of Flames are great to inflict Burn, but they require Energy, whereas weapon combos don’t require any special source beyond a player’s ability tostring combos together.

Honed by Cinder will give players more chances to stack Burn effects on enemies. Overall, Burn is a great status effect inLost in Random: The Eternal Diewhich makes the Sword of Sixtopia a well-balanced weapon between stats and upgrade effects. And with Heat of Passion in tow, players can control the battlefield with a fiery passion.

Hurling Hurricanes in Lost in Random The Eternal Die

2Hurling Hurricanes

Charged Attacks Are Now Windstorms

All weapons have a charge attack, and among the four, the Sword of Sixtopia’s is pretty standard. Aleksandra will swing around her sword, which is good for holding back encroaching mobs of enemies, but it is not that strong, and the range is short. Thankfully, players can unlock a different charge attack for the Sword of Sixtopia called Hurling Hurricanes.

Hurling Hurricanes will createa small burst of windthat will go around the battlefield similar to the Tempest of Ice Card. Players can also get an upgrade ability for the Sword of Sixtopia to increase the wind’s duration, or they can get Spawns of Gale. This will create mini tornadoes once the main wind source dissipates, which is good for clearing out a room, but Hurling Hurricanes is the upgrade to focus on first.

Defeating Dozen in Lost in Random The Eternal Die

1Defeating Dozen

Potions Restore More Health

All of those abilities will make the Sword of Sixtopia better as a combat tool but Defeating Dozen should be the practical player’s first choice for upgrades. This will give players a chance to restore health upon defeating a set amount of enemies. It will be randomized but also based on upgrade ranks. Health could be restored after eight kills or it could be after twelve kills.

Most enemy encounter rooms will have about a dozen enemies in them, so one room almost guarantees a healing effect. It’s more practical than Half A Dozen Defeats which heals more with potions as there will always be more enemies as compared to potion drops. While not as flashy of an upgrade as Hurling Hurricanes or Honed By Cinder, Defeating Dozen will prove to be beneficial for the Sword of Sixtopia in the long run.
