Way back in January 2024,an ESRB rating forLittle Nightmares: Enhanced Editionwas noticed by eagle-eyed gamers, quickly fueling anticipation.
However, as the year came and went without such a version being released, it seemed as though an updatedLittle Nightmaresmight never arrive. After the PlayStation Store leak, though, it looks like Supermassive Games may have more than just a release date forLittle Nightmares 3up its sleeve.2025 has promised plenty of unique horror gamesto look forward to, andLittle Nightmares 3being added to the list would be a welcome addition to the expected lineup. Games likeThe Midnight Walkhave already brought horror fans a terrifying experience balanced with a breathtaking art style, and it will be interesting to see howLittle Nightmares 3evolves the charming look that it has become known for.

Will Little Nightmares 3 Release This Year?
All will be revealed on June 24, but a 2025 launch date seems to be a likely bet. Originally planned to be released in 2024, the game was hit with a delay, as Supermassive Games aimed to launch in the following year. Now that 2025 is well underway, it would be the ideal time to make an announcement. Considering the franchise’s spin on the horror genre,Little Nightmares 3may arrive sometime in the fall. This would only make sense, since it would be a great option toget into the Halloween spirit. However, this also presents the game with significant competition.

Horror Games Slated to Launch Fall 2025
Granted, these three games are far more traditional in their horror approaches than theLittle Nightmaresfranchise. The latter has the benefit of its cute aesthetic, which can help it stand out in the crowd. Even more intriguing,Directive 8020is also developed by Supermassive Games, so it would be interesting to see the developer offer a one-two punch this fall.

The franchise’s iconic art style is from the minds at Tarsier Studios, and it’s returning in full force inReanimal, but even darker.Reanimalhas yet to lock in a release, but it’s expected this year, potentially setting it andLittle Nightmares 3up to go head-to-head.
