Biosteel is one of the many resources players need for crafting inKilling Floor 3, and as something that’s used in so many recipes, the game sure gives out so few of them per match. Players will need plenty of these for crafting and upgrading gun attachments, some of which are crucial for beating Hell on Earth difficulty.

Unlocking stuff for weapon customization inKilling Floor 3can feel a little tedious at first, but once you find out where to get materials, progression will feel smoother and more natural. In this guide, we’ll be going over how to reliably farm Biosteel for all of your crafting needs.

Where to Get Biosteel in KF3

Players can usually get Biosteel just by playing the game. Specific types of enemies (Husks, Gorefasts, and Sirens) can drop Biosteel and other crafting materials, but since enemy drops are chance-based, just farming Zeds won’t be enough. The best way to get Biosteel inKF3is tofind and destroy Horzine machineryscattered throughout levels.

Specifically, you’ll want to find and breakelectronic billboards.Any sort of damage inKF3can break these, and all you need to do is apply a tiny of bit of violence to get a guaranteed Biosteel drop. These are present at most levels, but some maps are better for Biosteel farming than others.

KF3 Biosteel Billboard

The City Streets map is arguably the best one to go toif you want to get Biosteel inKF3. Its layout is fairly simple, and the billboards you need to destroy are all very easy to spot in this map. There are five billboards on City Streets, so before you go and beat the final boss for the mission, make sure to clear them all out.

Another good map is Offices. Like City Streets, this map has five billboards for players to smash, but unlike the previous map, this one is a lot more vertical, and finding all the posters is a little bit trickier. If you’re able to memorize where all the billboards are, then Offices should be just as good for farming Biosteel.

KF3 Pounded Mutation

Mutations

Mutations are wave modifiers that alter Zed spawns, damage values, and other parameters. As mentioned earlier, Biosteel can drop from Husks, Gorefasts, and Sirens, so if the game suddenly starts a Mutation that increases the spawn rates of these enemies, you’ll know you have a better chance at getting more Biosteel than usual.

It’s worth noting that the Weekly Mutation (found in the mission select screen) may include modifiers that increase the spawn rates of these enemies. In that case, you may want to start farming the Weekly Mutation mode instead.
