June 25 is going to be a huge day forPalworldfans because that’s when the highly anticipated crossover withTerrariawill finally happen. Pocketpair has revealed the release date for the crossover alongside a short, animated teaser featuringPalworldandTerrariacharacters.

Back in 2024,Palworldannounced it would cross over withTerraria, but didn’t provide any details about what fans should expect. Still, that was enough to build anticipation.Palworldcame out in early 2024 and was an instant success, introducing players to a world packed with creatures called “Pals” that players have to tame and befriend—which drew several comparisons to, and even ongoing issues with, thePokemonIP. On the other hand,Terrariais a popular 2D action-adventure sandbox game, first released in 2011 for PC, and often described as a blend ofMinecraftand Metroidvania, with a strong focus on exploration, crafting, combat, building, and survival. It’s still unclear how these two games will blend together, but the developer has now offered another glimpse into the crossover.

Palworld’s Crossover with Terraria Drops June 25

Right at the end of the video,Terraria’s Eye of Cthulhuappears on top of the house, alongside the Moon Lord. The developer didn’t reveal much, though the video suggests that players will likely have to explore dungeons and face someTerrariaenemies along the way.

ThePalworld: Tides ofTerrariaupdatewill not only add elements from the 2D indie hit. Pocketpair has previously teased new Pals joining the game, along with new islands and “new content.” Players will need to wait a few more days to discover what’s new in the game, as well as how this exciting collaboration will play out.

As previously mentioned, amid the excitement surrounding the crossover, Pocketpair has been involved in some long-standing legal issues with The Pokemon Company, which has accused thePalworlddeveloper of copyright infringement. This ongoing situation has forced Pocketpair to make certain critical changes to the game through updates, in order to differentiatePalworldfromPokemon. While these legal dramas continue to unfold, Pocketpair is now gearing up for June 25.
