Another addition that got players talking was the return of Belial as one of the new bosses available inDiablo 4, which is why the season was named after the Lord of Lies. Diablo 4has unveiled an infographic with the main features of Season 9, Sins of the Horadrim. Starting on July 1, the seasonal content added by Blizzard includes a new questline in whichDiablo 4players must discover and purge relics influenced by Astaroth’s blood. The seasonal mechanic will be Horadric Spellcraft, a system that will add a variety of spells such as Corrosive Vapor, Glacial Nimbus, Smoldering Ember, and Thunderous Particle. Horadric Jewels will be the new socketables, allowing players to obtain new bonuses. Confirming apreviousDiablo 4leak, the hellhound Dante will be the seasonal pet, and the hellish goat will be one of the upcoming Reliquary rewards.

The Nightmare Dungeon experience will see changes with the additions of Nightmare Dungeon Affixes, Horadric Strongrooms, and Escalating Nightmares, anewDiablo 4endgame activitythat will connect three Nightmare Dungeons. While Astaroth will be the challenge of the seasonal questline, Exalted Astaroth will be waiting for players in Escalating Nightmares. The fight against Exalted Astaroth can potentially be modified with certain affixes, making his attacks even more powerful.Diablo 4will add six new Uniques to keep the community engaged in the search for the best build, as well as keyboard and mouse support for console players.

While Season 9 does not have a set end date,Diablo 4’s 2025 roadmapnotes that it will run from July to September. After that will come Season 10, Infernal Chaos, scheduled to run from September to December. Although the full content is not known, the roadmap promises the addition of the seasonal mechanic Chaos Powers, an update to the Infernal Hordes mode, and a new crossover.
