In a time when action anime are so dominant, it takes a lot of effort for a series to make a name for itself. They require the combination of excellent storytelling and high-quality animation.

While the manga is splendid, the anime adaptation has taken things to a whole other level. JJK fans have been waiting eagerly for news about season three, but it has not been forthcoming.

Jujutsu Kaisen Season 3 is said to be in production, meaning the studio is now fully focused on the series. MAPPA is renowned for producing animation of the highest quality, and that is exactly why fans are so excited about the third season of the anime. However, the highgrade of animation means that MAPPAwill require several months to produce the anime. If it rushes the process, it could lead to an underwhelming third season, which is why MAPPA should take as long as it likes with the new season.
Keeping the busy schedule in mind,Jujutsu Kaisen Season 3 could bereleased in late 2026. Of course, it could be released earlier, but that would mean overworking the staff members, which is something the studio should try to avoid. Fans already know that MAPPA has a history of mistreating its staff, but hopefully, the studio won’t do the same this time.

It will be nearly impossible to produce all the fights with a high level of animation, so the studio might not have any other option but to cut corners in the less important battles.
Jujutsu Kaisen Season 3 could end up being shorter than the first two seasons. It is highly likely that the third season will have around 20 episodes in total.The Culling Game arc has 67 chapters, andit will probably take 20 episodes to cover all of them. In comparison, the Shibuya Incident arc had 58 chapters, and it was covered in 18 episodes. Of course, if the studio increases the pacing, the overall number will be much lower.

Jujutsu Kaisen’s third season will see Itadori Yuji trying to protect himself from Yuta Okkutsu, who has been sent by the higher-ups to kill the former. Yuta is an exceptionally strong individual who is armed with Rika, a Special-Grade Curse. While Yuji is the vessel of Sukuna, he cannot rely on the King of Curses to bail him out every single time.
So, Yuji will have to rely on his own skills to protect himself. It will also be interesting to see how Yuji and his allies deal with the absence of Gojo Satoru, who has been captured by Kenjaku. Once the Yuta situation has been dealt with, it’s highly likely that Yuji will try to rescue his teacher.
