The Sakamoto Days Anime Does Not Live Up To The Hype
TMS Entertainment Has Not Done Enough
Before its release,Sakamoto Days was hyped up as one of the biggest releases of 2025. Fans who had read the manga were aware of the series' quality. In fact, if someone asked Sakamoto Days fans about the manga, it’s highly likely that the responses would only be positive. Naturally, when the anime was announced in 2024, fans were keen to see what TMS Entertainment would come up with.
Unfortunately, fans have been massively let down by the studio. Some viewers have complained about the studio skipping chapters, but most have complained about the quality of animation. It iscertainly true that TMS Entertainment has failedto capture the essence of the manga with its animation. Fans have called out the studio multiple times on social networking websites, but it has been to no avail. However, they still held hope that Sakamoto Days part 2 would be better. Sadly, they couldn’t have been more wrong.
Sakamoto Days' Anime Adaptation Has Disappointed Fans
Fans Can’t Believe That Their Favorite Anime Was Treated In Such A Horrible Way
Sakamoto Days Season 1 Part 2 isn’t off to the best start either. The anime still has the same issues, and it’s unlikely to change anytime soon. Manga readers who have watched the anime can easily see the difference between the source material and the anime. Naturally, they are the ones who have been disappointed the most.
Fans wanted an adaptation that would do their favorite manga justice. After seeing Sakamoto Days with a below-average adaptation, the fan base is upset. To make matters worse, there are many new titles that are airing in 2025 that have far superior production.
Given the reception towards the anime,it’s safe to assume that Sakamoto Daysmight not announce a new season straightaway. TMS Entertainment will have to go back to the drawing board and figure out how to improve the anime’s quality. For the time being, fans keep their expectations grounded and do not expect any major announcement.

The anime has some heavy themes, so fans are advised to watch it at their own risk. The Apothecary Diaries is also an excellent choice. Another standout anime is Lord of Mysteries, which is based on a web novel. The anime is still in its early stages, but it has already racked up positive reviews. So, it’s something that fans, especially those who enjoy mystery, thriller, and supernatural themes, should watch.2025 is still far from over, and even beyond the summer lineup, there are many big titles worth watching.
