There hasn’t been anewSouth ParkRPGin the eight years since. There was once some hope thatSnow Daymight help fill that void, but the action-adventure game earned mixed reviews and is generally considered a disappointment compared toStick of TruthandThe Fractured But Whole. No newSouth Parkvideo game project has been announced at the time of this writing, but with the THQ Nordic Showcase taking place on August 1, there’s a chance an announcement could be happening sooner rather than later.
When is the THQ Nordic Showcase?
If a newSouth Parkvideo game is announced at theTHQ Nordic Showcase on August 1, one has to wonder what form it will take. A thirdSouth ParkRPG would no doubt be greatly appreciated by franchise fans, but others may be anxious to see the series tackle other genres. An open world,GTA-styleSouth Parkgame seems like a no-brainer, but time will tell if that ever happens. There are currently no newSouth Parkvideo game projects announced, but considering the franchise’s enduring popularity, one has to imagine that it’s only a matter of time before an announcement is made - even if it doesn’t happen at the THQ Nordic Showcase on August 1.
