It seems as though there will never be a time, at least looking to the near future, whenGame of Throneswon’t be a divisive subject. Whether fans loved the first seven seasons and later hated its last, or whether they enjoyed all eight equally, the fact remains that the HBO series still draws the attention of many, as noticeable in one current auction of a character’s armor that’s seeing its price go through the roof.

Based onGeorge R.R. Martin’s novels in theA Song of Ice and Fireseries, HBO’s adaptation flew off to a great start and continued to receive copious amounts of praise throughout its many seasons. However, when season 8 rolled around, many of its dedicated fans felt disappointed in the final season ofGame of Thronesdue to a messy narrative and reliance on action over nuanced storytelling. However, despite the controversy,Game of Throneshad some of TV’s most compelling and complex characters, like Lord Varys, with his intricate web of spies and dedication to the realm, Theon’s tragic journey from Stark ward to Ironborn prince or Tyrion Lannister going from being called the “Imp” to his role as Hand of the Queen. One such character who might not be considered “complex” is Stannis Baratheon, the younger brother of King Robert Baratheon, who many would call the ultimate example of a Lawful Neutral character, and his real-life armor has fans falling over themselves to buy.

Stannis Baratheon (played by Stephen Dillane) wears this armor inSeason 2, episode one ofGame of Thronescalled “The North Remembers”, when he declares himself the rightful heir to the Iron Throne and pledges to take King’s Landing by any means necessary. One observant fan in the comment section of the tweet wondered whereStannis' flaming heart chest plate with his stag sigil in the middle, so it seems as though that part is missing for some unknown reason.
