There are a number of ways that players can make carrying the huge amounts of cargo that Sam is tasked with moving from place to place a little bit easier. One of the most effective and easiest options is to use the Chiral Antigravity Device, which can be unlocked relatively early on inDeath Stranding 2: On the Beach. The problem is, once it’s unlocked, the game doesn’t explain exactly how it can be used, leaving players potentially unaware that they’re not actually getting any benefit from it. Here’s what players need to know abouthow to get and use the Chiral Antigravity Device inDeath Stranding 2.
How to Unlock the Chiral Antigravity Device in Death Stranding 2
Keep Making Deliveries
The Chiral Antigravity Device can be obtained by reaching connection level 2 with the Government Base facility in Australia. This is the first facility players will visit after arriving in Australia, and can be quickly leveled up by handing in lost cargo and completing main objectives.
Players can alsoincrease facility levelby completing Sub-Orders that end at the destination and any Aid Requests that the Prepper at the facility has. Aid Requests can be checked at any time by accessing the option from Sam’s ring menu.
How to Craft and Use the Chiral Antigravity Device in Death Stranding 2
A Different Crafting Menu
Unlike other weapons and items inDeath Stranding 2,players will need to craft the Chiral Antigravity Device from the Backpack Customization option when interacting with a facility’s terminal. Specifically, this can be found by going to Fabrication Management.
From here, players will see all the existing patches or components that players have on their backpack, as well as ‘Add’ at the bottom of the list. Select this option and then choose ‘Components.’ Here, players will be able to select the Chiral Antigravity Device, which can be crafted with the following materials:
After crafting the Antigravity Device, players can then choose where to place it on their backpack. The placement of the device won’t have an impact on its effectiveness; this is just for cosmetic purposes.
Players can place more than one Chiral Antigravity Device on their backpack to ‘stack’ the increased cargo carrying capacity effect it has. This is really useful for players who like to pick up anything they find while out exploring and is particularly handy during the early stages of the game when players have fewer ways of transporting lots of cargo at once.
