Candy is a very rare item inDate Everything. It’s so rare, in fact, that most players won’t even know that it exists until they get their hands on it. Even when they do, they may well find themselves struggling to figure out what it’s even for, as candies can only be used in certain situations and with certain characters.
Put simply, players can use candies to repair their relationship with a datable with whom they’ve achieved a Hate ending, allowing them to become friends once again. There’s a lot more to it than that, though, both when it comes to how to get candy inDate Everythingand how to actually use it.
How to Get Candy in Date Everything
Players will be able to get candy byspeaking with Keithon the upstairs landing after he’sunlocked the attic door. If theytalk to him about stats, he’ll evaluate their current SPECS and will give them a candy if they’ve raised one of them high enough. The required value seems to vary, but it’s definitely above 50. Players can raise their SPECS by achieving outcomes with Dateables, with each ending rewarding them with five SPECS points of a certain type (see below), regardless of whether that ending is Love, Friends, or Hate.Players will only be able to get one candy for each stat, meaning there are a maximum of five available in total.
Players can keep track of which candies they currently have by checking the SPECS menu.
How to Use Candy in Date Everything
Assuming you have the required type in their possession, players will be given the option to use a Candy when they speak with a Dateable who hates them. For this to happen, though, the candy will need to matchthe primary SPECS type of the Dateable(see below). Assuming it does, and players decide to use the candy, their relationship status with that character will be changed from Hate to Friends, which can be useful frot those hoping to unlock the Relate Everything Trophy / Achievement.
