While some badges require you to follow specific restrictions or complete tricky tasks, others are tied to exploration milestones. The Arborist Badge challenges you to climb a really tall tree. It might sound simple, but with tough terrain andrandomized maps inPEAK, this badge can be pretty hard to unlock. This guide breaks down everything you need to do to get the Arborist Badge inPEAK.
How To Get the Arborist Badge in PEAK
To get the Arborist Badge, you need toreach the top of a very tall tree in the Tropics biome.Look for massive trees withtall, slender stemsandumbrella-like leaves clustered at the top. If a tree looks unusually tall and seems to have platforms or branches spaced out like steps, it’s probably the one.
You’ll often need to detour from the main path to find these trees. They may also have some luggage or gear hanging from their branches.
When you’re climbing the three, make sure touse stamina carefullyas you jump from branch to branch, taking breaks when possible. Sometimes, these tall trees are conveniently located near cliffs or ledges. In such cases, you’re able to scale the rocks beside the tree and drop or walk onto its higher branches, bypassing much of the climb. It’s a clever way to save stamina and time.
Once you reach thehighest point of the tree, the Arborist Badge will automatically unlock.
Of course, this will take many playthroughs depending on the island layout and your starting location. Sinceisland generations inPEAKare randomized, you may not always get the right tree formation. Don’t get discouraged if you can’t get the badge on your first few runs.
How to Unlock Realistic Eyes in PEAK
All badges reward you with aunique cosmetic item inPEAK. The reward for earning the Arborist Badge is theRealistic Eyescosmetic. As soon as you reach the highest point of the tree, the Realistic Eyes will be available in your character customization options (Passport).
Once you’ve completed your run, you’ll be taken back to the main airport lobby. In the lobby, press 1 to open yourPassport. This is where you manage your scout’s appearance and view your earned badges.
Inside the Passport menu, scroll through the categories until you findFacial Features. Scroll through your available cosmetic options and selectRealistic Eyes. Once equipped, your character’s eyes will instantly update with the new look.
