The main story ofWarhammer 40,000: Rogue Traderwill take players all across the Koronus Expanse, and for anyone who has purchased any of the game’s story DLCs, they can expect to experience more narrative events as they try to claim the stars.Lex Imperialisis the game’s second major DLC, and as its name suggests, it puts members of the Adeptus Arbites right at the forefront.
TheLex ImperialisDLC’s story forRogue Traderruns alongside the main campaign, and while it lets players play as an Arbitrator at the very start of the game, much of its content won’t be accessible until much later on. If you’re wondering how to start, here’s what you need to do.
How to Start the Lex Imperialis Questline in Rogue Trader
This DLC isintegrated into the storyline— if you’ve enabled it in the main menu while creating a new playthrough, you will naturally encounter the important characters and events of theLex Imperialisexpansion throughout your campaign. Players willfirst encounter Arbitrators led by Solomorne Antharn in Act 1, and they’ll continue to make appearances later on.
After players decidethe fate of Rykad Minoris inRogue Trader, the rest of the DLC’s questlines will open up starting on Act 2 and again on Act 4. If you want to force the next interaction with the Arbitrators,perform a few warp jumps to random locations after Act 1. You’ll eventually get a message from Solomorne asking you to meet with him in Footfall as part ofthe Heartless Void quest.
If you’re continuing an ongoing campaign, warp jump to and from several systems until you get a message saying that there’s an Arbites delegation in Dargonus.
How Long is the Lex Imperials DLC in WH40K: Rogue Trader?
According to the DLC’s Steam page,Lex Imperialiswill take roughly 15 hours to complete, adding an ample amount of playtime toRogue Trader’slong campaign.
It’s worth noting that Solomorne and the bigger chunks of theLex Imperialisstory quest won’t start until playersreach Footfall in Act 2— this is also where Solomorne canbecome one of your companions. For those who are starting a new playthrough, reaching this point may take up to 10 hours or more depending on how quickly you progress through Act 1 and how early they reach Dargonus.
