Hector is dateable #14 inDate Everythingand requires some perseverance and patience if you’re going to successfully romance him. He’s a shy character, as you’ll discover upon first meeting him, but kindness goes a long way with him and you can eventually coax him out of his hiding place. In this guide, I’ll run through everything you need to know to romance Hector inDate Everything, as well as how to reach his ‘Friends’ and ‘Hate’ endings.
Where to Find Hector in Date Everything
A Temperate Guy
Hector can be found in the HVAC unit and vents throughout your house. The easiest place to interact with him is in your bedroom, as you’ll find yourself here at the beginning and end of each day. Facing away from your bed, look towards the top of the wall between the two closets and you’ll find the HVAC vent you can use your Dateviators on to speak with Hector.
How to Romance Hector in Date Everything
To get the ‘Love’ ending with Hector, you’ll need to be patient and provide him with a lot of reassurance about his appearance and his feelings towards himself. This can get quite tedious, but if you want to romance Hector, you’ll need to play the long game. Below, I’ve broken down the dialogue options I chose in each interaction to successfully woo Hector.
I’ve only listed the dialogue I selected where there are multiple options to choose from.
First Interaction
The first interaction involves one dialogue option, and all you need to say is ‘Just sayin’ hi!' This will cause Hector to get all flustered and end the conversation abruptly.
Third Interaction
Fourth Interaction
For the fifth interaction, you need to interact with the large HVAC unit in the attic. This requires you toget the attic key, so make sure you get this from the crawl space in the closet in your office before moving on to the next day.

How to Get Hector’s Friends and Hate Endings in Date Everything
You can follow the ‘Love’ ending dialogue options above, right up until the fifth interaction where you meet Hector in the attic and still get his ‘Friends’ and ‘Hate’ endings. During this conversation, there are two different dialogue options you need to choose to get each of these endings.
Hate
You’ll first have the option to get Hector’s ‘Hate’ ending by choosing the ‘Woof. Um… you look… ew.’ dialogue option when he finally reveals himself. As he’s a very self conscious person, this will destroy his confidence and result in you becoming enemies.
Friends
To become friends with Hector, rather than telling him you love him, you need to choose the ‘I do understand… but not as lovers, merely friends,’ dialogue option. This will see Hector come to terms with your simply platonic relationship and see you become pals.
