No matter how hard you try to avoid it, inevitably, every player must learn how to revive teammates inPEAK. It’s easy to get downed in this game – there are poisonous plants everywhere you step, damaging environmental objects to avoid, and of course, fall damage that scales based on the distance you tumble down the mountainside.
If you stay downed for long enough, your character will die, turn into a skeleton, and appear as a ghost that your teammates can see. This guide explains how torevive downed teammates with certain itemsand get them back in action and how to revive dead teammates who are beyond normal revival methods.
How To Revive Downed Teammates In PEAK
To revive teammates who have been knocked out,PEAKplayers must first navigate to their teammate’s body and pick it up. You will carry your downed teammate on your back. In this state, your teammate can no longer communicate. You will become noticeably heavier and will be less effective at climbing, but as long as your teammate is being carried, they will not die and turn into a ghost.
To bring a downed teammate back, you must determine the cause of their demise:
Because you cannot communicate with your teammate with proximity voice chat while they are downed, it can be tough to figure out how to revive teammates.PEAKplayers can usually assume that a teammate died to poison or HP damage most of the time, which is most easily remedied by giving them a Medkit.
If this doesn’t revive them, though, it means they became knocked out because of another status effect like hunger, in which case you must give them a meal to revive them.
If you are successful, your teammate will pop back to life, and you cancontinue to climb as a team.
If a teammate becomes knocked out and is not rescued, their body will turn into a skeleton and they will die. After a few moments, they will reappear as a spectator ghost that other players can see and communicate with. To bring a dead teammate back to life,PEAKplayers must either find a Scout Effigy item or make it to the campsite at the top of the current biome and interact with the Ancient Statue.
If you are able to get to the top of the biome without any casualties, the Ancient Statue will always reward you with a Mythical item. However, if one or more teammates died, the statue will instead bring them back to life with full stamina and no status ailments. There is no other way to revive dead teammates inPEAK– if someone goes down, and their ghost appears, you must continue to the top to bring them back.
The Scout Effigy is an exceptionally rare item that will revive one dead teammate at the location you choose. Look for Ancient Luggage and Large Luggage containers for a higher chance to get this item. You can also loot the Ancient Statue at the end of each biome for a chance to get the Scout Efficy item, but you must not have any casualties.
