As you get more bananas inDonkey Kong Bananaza, you’ll earn skill points which can then be used to unlock new abilities to make Donkey Kong even more effective in combat, whacking his way through terrain, and gathering collectibles. Initially, these skills are pretty limited, however, the further you progress through the game, the more you’ll unlock. As such, some players may find that skills they initially unlocked are no longer as important to them as a shiny new skill. That’s where being able torespec skill points inDonkey Kong Bananzacan come in really handy, but finding the option isn’t found in the skill points menu.
How to Respec Skill Points in Donkey Kong Bananza
Track Down the Elders
To respec skill points inDonkey Kong Bananza, you need to speak to one of the Elders, who can be found in different locations throughout the game. The first one you’ll meet is the Kong Elder found in Lagoon Layer’s 101 sub-layer. You have to interact with him as part of the main storyline, so don’t worry about missing him.
ThisLagoon Layer SL100 Banandium Gem locations guidecan help you find them all and get plenty of skill points to invest early on in your adventure.
After you’ve placed down the ancient record and worked your way through the Bananza tutorial, you’ll then be free to move onto the next area of the game. However, before you do this, speak to the Kong Elder again. You’ll now have the ‘Reset Skills’ option available to select.
When you choose this option and then select the ‘Reset my skills!’ option again to confirm you want to go ahead with it, you’ll get all of your skill points back and will be free to re-spend them as you see fit.
Any extra juice that you were holding beyond the initial base limits you’re able to hold for each will be turned into gold when you respec, so keep this in mind before proceeding.
It’s worth noting that not every layer inDonkey Kong Bananzahas an elder, so if you’re feeling like you’re ready to respec, it’s best to do it when you find one rather than hoping you come across another one soon after that. There’s no real negative to respeccing, either, so it’s worth regualrly experimenting with it to get the perfect skills loadout for your playstyle.
If you do find yourself desperate to respec, you’re able to alwaysfast travel back to another layerwith the help of the mother eel and warp gong.
