Mecha Breakgives players various mechs to try out. Some players will be better with a light ormedium-class mech like Alysnes, while others will want to go with the slow and heavy juggernauts. There are many heavy mechs, with some focusing on dealing damage and some being supporters.Tricera is one such mech.

Tricera is classed as anUltra-Heavy Defender, and can lock down areas so that enemy mechs are forced to back up. It can accomplish this in one of two ways: by being on the point or supporting allies from the rear with massive firepower. Many players thatget their hands on this mechwill not want to put it down.

Tricera’s Kit in Mecha Break

Tricera has an arsenal of heavy-hitting firepower that can all be fired at the same time. This means players can unleash a hailstorm of carnage while pursuing an opponent’s mech from behind, and if they dare to turn around, Tricera can hunker down into its Fortress Form to make them wish they had never stopped. Whilethe game does aim for balance, facing Tricera can often feel like an uphill battle.

General Information

Gatling Gun

Gatling gunsare a weapon that many players willwant to put on their mechs. This primary weapon has plenty of bullets and plenty of damage to go with it. This will allow players to spray a consistent amount of damage that will tear through the opponent’s armor and greatly help out allies locked in melee combat.

Heavy Gatling Gun

Triceras Heavy Gatling Gunsare stronger and will tear through armor even faster. However, they will be expanded much faster. The Heavy Gatling Guns can also intercept missiles while no enemy is being targeted.

Use both at the same time for the optimum amount of performance.

Howitzer

Howitzeris a beast of a cannon that stuns, knocks back, and interrupts enemies. It can also be fired while both Gatling Gun and Heavy Gatling Gun are being used.

Fortress Form

This will cause Tricera to drop in place and deploy into a stationary form that can still use all of its abilities. While its movement is dropped to zero, its defense will go through the roof. So much so that it can push back any enemy trying to lock into combat with it.

Activating this form at the moment of impact can stun enemies clashing with it. This form will also have drones to shoot incoming missiles while players have it active.

Fortress Form has a limited amount of shield for soaking up damage, but it will start regenerating its shield after exiting this form.

Repair Drone

While in Fortress Form, Tricera can use Repair Drone to heal itself and allies.

Tips & Tricks for Playing Tricera in Mecha Break

As stated previously, Tricera can play to its strengths in two ways todominate in PvP. The first is to be a rear gunner to assist allies. The second is to lock down the point directly.

Rear Gunner

While many mechs will switch between ranged weapons and melee energy weapons, this is not the case for Tricera. Tricera is slow and bulky. It is likely you will not be getting to where you need to be before your allies do. Always assist with damage output by using your primary weapon to fire into any skirmish that an ally is already involved in. This can help them achieve victory.

When you become the focus of any enemy, switch to Fortress Mode to mitigate this damage and proceed with one of the two strategies depending on the situation:

Locking Down the Point

Lock down the point by landing where enemies will be heading. Fire into enemies advancing to have them question their actions and deny them where they need to be. This can cause a lot of players to have tunnel vision and pursue fighting a skirmish with allies rather than actually securing objectives to win matches.

Having multiple playstyles can make PvP really fun, and make this a game players will putamongst their favorite mech games.
