How To Pass In Rematch
There are anumber of ways to pass inRematch, and players will want to use different passes depending onhow far away their target is, whether defenders are in the way, and how much time they have.
Importantly, all of the following methods allow players toinput passing commands before they have the ball. Doing so willpass or volley the ball immediately, without taking a touch.
Normal Pass Along The Ground
This is the standard pass inRematchand should be used whenplaying it to feet or for some through balls. Arriving on the floor, it iseasier for the receiver to control, and there’s no danger of accidentally lobbing them.
Players can hold down X/Square/RMB to put more power into the pass. If the ball is in the air, this command willhead the ball away. Use this defensively, in midfield, or even to head the ball in.
The best thing about these passingmechanics, and the following lob pass, is that controller users canpass in any direction using the Left Stick. This is the blue line when passing, and while players are charging up the pass, they can still change direction. Best of all, ispassing behind without looking, which is muchfaster than turning around. Use this to clear the ball in defense or when stuck in the corner.
These passing mechanics can also be used to score goals, especially with not having to look at the goal.
Lob Pass
The Lob Passfunctions the same as the standard pass, but puts the ball into the air. It’s useful for crosses, through balls, and getting the ball over defenders.
Use The Shoot Button For Long Passes
Aside from the ‘actual’ pass buttons, players can also use theshoot button to pass. This is themost powerful way to kick the ball, making itideal for long passes. In many cases, thelob pass can be too weakand will drop off in pace, allowing opponents to pick it up.
Keepers also use this kick for long passes upfield. Although they can also use the normal pass to roll the ball out or the lob pass to throw it out.
This powerful kick can be used indefensive clearances,balls out wideto wingers, and also forpacy crosses. It’s also great forbouncing the ball off the back wallfor easy volleys in. Players canapply curve to find teammatesand also use this mechanic midair as a volley.
The downside, compared with regular passing, is that playersmust be looking at where they want to kick the ball.
