Players will be scouring the regions of Hagga Basin and the Deep Desert in search of valuable resources to build their base and equipment inDune Awakening. As you progress further into the game, carrying resources, especially ores, will become increasingly heavier due to weight limits on the character. While there isn’t a method or a skill yet to increase the maximum weight of the character, there are other ways you can optimize resource gathering in the game.
How to Increase Carry Weight in Dune Awakening
The character inDune Awakeninghas aweight limit of 175 volume and 35 slotsto store items. While this may seem enough at the start of the game, weight management will become much more tricky as the resources become heavier and your equipment arsenal expands.
Unlike health and stamina, whose max values can be increased by investing points in the skill trees, maximum weight doesn’t work like that. There aren’t any accessories or skills that players can use to increase their character’s max carry weight. However, that’s where yourvehicles and their storage upgradescome in.
Sandbike
You’ll start off with theSandbike being your first vehicleinDune Awakening. While you won’t have any storage modifications for the bike at the start, you can make one as you progress into the Iron tier.
TheSandbike Inventory MK2 upgradehas a carry capacity of 250 volumes, which can comfortably store a large amount of iron ore and other resources. Unfortunately, there aren’t any storage upgrades past MK2 that players can install on the Sandbike to increase storage capacity.
Players cannot store their Sandbikes and Scout Ornithopters in the Vehicle Backup Tool if there are items stored in the inventory.
Buggy
In the Steel tier, you’ll be able tocraft your own buggy, which offers thehighest storage capacity out of all the vehiclesin the game.
The vehicle can be modified with theBuggy Storage MK3 upgradethat allows players to store up to 1500 volume inside it. Pair that with the Buggy Cutteray, and you’ll mine tons of ore, and store it up to bring back to your base. Players can upgrade the storage further to increase the Buggy’s carry capacity to 2000 and 3000 volumes.
Scout Ornithopter
Lastly, progressing into the Aluminum tier will allow players tocraft a Scout Ornithopter, which will also allow you tocraft the Storage MK4 upgradefor it. It has a carry capacity of 500 volumes, which is more than a Sandbike but significantly less than a buggy.
Players will eventually progress to the Duraluminum tier, which allows them tocraft an Assault Ornithopter. This Ornithopter can be modified with the Assault Ornithopter Storage MK5 upgrade, which allows you to store up to 1000 volumes in it inDune Awakening.
