Stamina is everything inPEAK. If it runs low, even a small climb can start feeling like a nightmare. But with all thestatus effects like poisonand frost, the whole stamina system can get a bit confusing. And then there’s Morale Boost. It’s one of those things the game doesn’t really explain, but suddenly shows sometimes.
If you’ve seen it happen and have no idea why, you are not alone. Let’s talk about what Morale Boost actually does and how to trigger it so it can help you out in your next climb.
What is Morale Boost in PEAK?
Morale Boost gives yousome extra staminafor a little while. OncePEAKfans finish a biome, they will reach a campfire area. This is also where you’ll see the Ancient Statue. Players will need to light the campfire to move on to the next region of the game. Here, you can take a breather with your team. You can rest here, recover a bit, and even cook some Marshmallows to get your energy back.
To get a Morale Boost, you need to be standing around the campfire with at least one other player when it lights up. Walk up to the fire andpress ‘E’to light it, or let someone else do it because that works too. Once it’s triggered, players will see a message on the bottom left of their screen so they know it worked.
One thing to keep in mind is that the Morale Boost only works in multiplayer.If you are playing solo, you won’t get it since there’s no one else to stand with you at the fire. But players will still need to light the campfire to move on.
The campfire also works as a stove, so it’s a good chance to cook your food. If you’ve got coconuts, honeycomb, Yellow Winterberries, and an egg, you can cook them to get the Gourmand badge.
While you’re at the campfire, make sure to check out the luggage box nearby. The ancient statue is also located in this area, and it can give you some rare items. But if any of your friends are knocked out, the statue will use its magic to revive them instead of giving you loot.
How to Get the Happy Camper Badge in PEAK
If you are trying to get the Happy Camper badge, you’ll need totrigger the Morale Boost five times. However, it doesn’t all have to happen in one run.Spend some time with your friendsat the campfire, and you will get it eventually.
