Updated by Nathan Round on June 17, 2025:After a long wait following its release for those who already owned it in Rocket League, the Battle Bus has finally made its debut in the Fortnite Item Shop. This guide has been updated to include additional information about the Battle Bus SUV following its Item Shop release.
How to Get the Battle Bus SUV in Fortnite for Free
The first way that players can get the Battle Bus, and the only method that has allowed players to earn it both early and for free, is to havealready unlocked it inRocket League.If players have the Battle Bus inRocket Leagueand have signed in following the update v36.10, on Jul 28, 2025, they will receive it inside ofFortnite,granted that both games use the same Epic Account.
The Battle Bus SUV was originally introduced inRocket Leagueduring the Llama-Rama Event back in September 2020. However, the Battle Bus SUV was also available forfree for a limited time by claiming the Titanium White version of the Battle Busvia the Epic Games Store from May 08, 2025, to Aug 01, 2025. Regardless of which version players got, they will already have received the Battle Bus SUV inFortnite.
Furthermore, as of June 18, players who have already received the Battle Bus SUV for free through the previously mentioned methods will alsoreceive the additional decals included in the Battle Bus SUV Bundlefrom theFortniteItem Shop at no extra cost.
Battle Bus SUV Item Shop Showcase in Fortnite
If players did not previously unlock the Battle Bus SUV through the Llama-Rama Event or via the Epic Games Store during its free offering, the only other way to acquire it is bypurchasing it through theFortniteItem Shopfor 1,800 V-Bucks.By purchasing the Battle Bus SUV Bundle, players will receive the Battle Bus Car Skin, which can beequipped as an SUV skininside the player’s locker.
In addition to the vehicle itself, players will alsogain access to two unique Decals exclusive to the Battle Bus, along with a few Decals borrowed from previous vehicles. The Battle Bus will also transfer over toRocket Leagueif purchased through theFortniteItem Shop, as long as both games are linked to the same Epic Games account.

The Battle Bus SUV made itsfirst appearance in the July 07, 2025, Item Shop rotationand will leave on August 2 at 8 PM ET. It may very well return at a later date following its initial departure.
