Death Stranding 2: On the Beachcarries on the story of Sam Porter Bridges and his adorably baby buddy, Lou, as they work on expanding the Chiral Network beyond the UCA. With the same challenges to navigate, such as tricky terrain, BTs, and Timefall, players will need to make use of different items and structures, as well as the help of other players, to lighten the burden and see the adventure through to the end. While the courier-focused gameplay will be where the majority of a player’s time goes inDeath Stranding 2, there are some opportunities to take in the stunning environments.
The trophy, ‘Making It Your Own,’ encourages players to do that by tasking them with taking a screenshot in Photo Mode and using it to decorate their private room. This guide will explain how to do both of these tasks, so players can tick off the trophy on their road to the Platinum.
How to Use a Screenshot in Photo Mode to Decorate Your Private Room in Death Stranding 2
Take a Pretty Picture
Players first need to take a screenshot inDeath Stranding 2’sPhoto Mode. This can be opened by pressing and holding the left side of the touchpad. When this is done, the gameplay will be paused, which is great for snapping some action shotsduring a boss fight, or capturing a moody landscape. There are a ton of different tools that players can use here to fine-tune and edit their photo, but once they’re done, they should press Square to hide the HUD and then press X to take the screenshot.
This doesn’t have to be some amazing shot. In the example I’ve used here, I’ve just taken a photo of Sam standing in the middle of nowhere in Mexico.
With this done, players now need to return to their private room at any outpost they’ve unlocked (this is alsowhere Sam can take a shower).With Sam sitting on his bed, look at the screen directly on the wall opposite him. This should bring up the option to change the screen image by pressing Triangle.
Choose this option, and a selection of different photos will be brought up.Players then need to select one of the photos they’ve taken in Photo Mode (indicated by a little grey rectangle in its top right corner), and press X to confirm the selection. Once this has been confirmed, the photo should now be shown on the wall of Sam’s private room, and the ‘Making It Your Own’ trophy should automatically pop.
This can’t be done in Sam’s room on the DHV Magellan, as there is no screen here. It has to be one of the outposts' private rooms.
