How to Complete the Graviton Through the Ages Exotic Quest
There are awhopping 15 stepsin the Graviton Through the Ages quest, and while most of them can be straightforward (like talking to an NPC at the HUB area), others feature puzzles that can be quite complex and overwhelming. The premise of the quest involves finding weapon pieces through a puzzle, so we’ve listed each weapon piece in order ofappearance to help playersfinish the quest.
How to Find Weapon Piece #1 (Outer Steppes)
After speaking with Lodi and the Emeritus in Caldera, players will be tasked with locating and obtaining the weapon piece found in the Outer Steppes. For this step, open up the map and fast travel to the top left of the map to reach the Outer Steppes. It’s also important to add a waypoint on the Graviton Through the Ages quest to make following the marker much easier. Travel towards the general area until the bottom left of the HUD reads Near Objective. Players will then want to head left of the building with a large metallic antenna, where behind this building is a Rosetta Sentry that needs to be eliminated. Just behind the Rosetta Sentry is a computer panel that can be accessed, which will start the next step to find the lost Department of External Observations weapon piece.
Mark the search area shown on the map and follow the waypoint. In this area, players are looking for Pylons that can be charged with Matterspark. There are 3 Pylons around this area:
With the 3 Pylons charged, the door can be opened and players can now interact with a pile on the floor to get the next step. For this part, simply head back to the Emeritus, which will begin the search for the next weapon part.
How to Find Weapon Piece #2 (The Gorge)
After speaking with the Emeritus, set your marker to the bottom left of the map and fast travel to the nearby area, Assimilated Easement. Follow the marker into the Gorge, just be sure to use Mattermorph on any closed walls that block the way, as this location is rather maze-like. From a central room filled with Vex, take the left entry to find a Rosetta Sentry. Behind some metal debris in this area, is a computer terminal that can be activated to acquire the next step to find the lost Department of External Observations weapon piece.
From this room, exit the same way you came in, but take a right to acquire Mattermorph. Immediately enter Matterspark and follow forward into a teleporter. Through the teleporter, take the first left through a hole, and hug the wall on the left to enter a secret room to throw Mattermorph at a wall to get this weapon piece. Alternatively, players can head straight through the tunnel to find a Vex Cyclops, where behind the gap is a cave that can be accessed with Matterspark. In this room is Mattermorph, which players will want to pick up. Use Matterspark to exit the cave and re-enter the original hole, but take a right to access a secret room. In this room, throw a Mattermorph ball at the wall to find the second weapon piece. Now, head back to Caldera and speak with Lodi.
How to Find Weapon Piece #3 (Exile’s Accord)
For this weapon piece, set a market found on the far right of the map at Augur’s Bethel, and use the fast travel station at Curtilage Divide to follow the marker. From fast travel, head forward into the bottom area and follow the lengthy linear pathway to find a bunch of Fallen in a central room. In this room, head right and then take a left, and then traverse into the train. Through the train is a pipe with an open hatch on the ceiling that players can jump up into, with a Relocator just outside this hatch. Take the Relocator back down the hatch and head to the furthest left pipe to shoot a portal and then exit through a new room. In this room, head all the way to the back and take the portal with Matterspark, then take the second door on the left to find the Rosetta Sentry and the computer terminal that can be interacted with. This begins a new search for yet another lost Department of External Observations weapon piece.
Head out of the terminal room and take a right back to the teleporter room, but players will want to make sure they use Matterspark to teleport into the right portal, noted for being on a wall with a bunch of bulbs and mushrooms. In this room, head forward to the back left of the room to find a Relocator, then use it on the top floor’s pipe to teleport into another room, where at the end of this room, is the final weapon piece.
How to Find Weapon Piece #4 (Ionian Campus)
This step is a lot simpler than the others, as all players need to do is eliminate Vex on Kepler. Players must collect Data Fragments from defeated Vex, and the easiest place to do so is in the HUB area. Take a right from the HUB area and interact with a Vex terminal. This will start a Public Event of sorts with no time limit, where Vex will continue to spawn. Players can either rely on these smaller Vex or complete the activity for a mini-boss Vex that drops more Data Fragments. After 100%, players will have the final lost Department of External Observations weapon piece objective, which is around the Ionian Campus area, in the top right of the map.
With the final weapon piece search underway, head to the Ionian Campus and head through the door that is next to a computer terminal. Follow the straightforward path to find a door that’s slightly open, barred by lasers. Players can then head outside to find a crane with a Relocator that needs Mattermorph to open. Mattermorph can be found in one of the Ionian Campus' corners within a large red container. Once claimed, throw Mattermorph at the cage to drop the Relocator, then pick up the cannon and use it to shoot through the door to teleport into a room, where the final weapon piece is just on the other side of the teleporter. Now, it’s time to speak with Lodi again for the final step.
How to Assemble Graviton Spike Using the Sieve
The Sieve is an activity found on Kepler, but only periodically. This means players will need to check the Kepler map to see when the Sieve is available to play. To the left of Caldera on the map, players can find the timer for the Sieve. Once the activity has begun, head to Caldera’s central area and interact with the flag that rises. This puts players into the activity, and the activity is rather simple for players to complete. All players need to get Graviton Spike to complete the Sieve activity, where thefinal reward chestof the activity will drop Graviton Spike.
How to Get All Intrinsics for Graviton Spike
There are 3 Temporal Manipulation Intrinsic upgrades that players can get for Graviton Spike, and the mechanic is fairly simple, so long as players actually have Graviton Spike. All players need to do is use the Arc bullets of the Graviton Spike to shoot an Arc-covered plant pod, then, when it opens with enough damage, players can switch to the Stasis mode of Graviton Spike to shoot the Stasis Crystal inside. Below is the location of all 3 Intrinsic upgrades for Graviton Spike:
How to Get Intrinsic #1 for Graviton Spike
One Intrinsic for Graviton Spike can be found very close to Caldera. From the spawn of Caldera, head right of the main building to find a hole in the wall that will take players to a small room with one of the flowers that needs to be destroyed. Destroying this flower will stop the fan, which can be accessed to allow players to pick up the collectible for Temporal Manipulation II.
How to Get Intrinsic #2 for Graviton Spike
For this Intrinsic, fast travel to the Curtilage Divide, immediately head to the room on the right. Follow through this room and keep to the right with a path lined with green lights. Players will be in the right area if they have passed the Mission: Transient flag. Keep following the path to take the Relocator and shoot the teleporter pad by the laser wall to teleport into a room that has a flower to be shot with Graviton Spike. Players will then need Mattermorph, which can be found on the platform above and opposite the flower. Use Mattermorph on the roof of the building that had the flower to enter inside and pick up the collectible that houses Temporal Manipulation III.
How to Get Intrinsic #3 for Graviton Spike
Temporal Manipulation IV can be found by fast traveling to Assimilated Easement. Head left and follow the path that houses a train and Mission: Calculus. Follow the train and keep to the path in the Stellar Sink. It’s quite a lengthy journey, but eventually there will be a hole by a wall in the bottom right of the Stellar Sink, the same hole players entered for the 2nd weapon piece to get Graviton Spike. Go through with Matterspark. Now, follow this area to the back to find a white door. Enter through the door, and look up in this room for another flower to shoot with Graviton Spike. Underneath the flower is a hole to be entered with Matterspark, where inside is Temporal Manipulation IV.
How to Get All Catalysts for Graviton Spike
There are 4 Catalysts for Graviton Spike, but each of them requires a unique difficulty setting to be enabled, along with a set of puzzles to be completed. This step is quite the collectathon, so here’s how to get them all:
How to Get Rapid Hit Refit Catalyst
In order to get Rapid Hit, players must be playing on theFabled or Mythicworld tiers on Kepler. This catalyst has three separate parts, and each of them can be found below:
