Nostalgia Country is the fourth challenge course in the Hilltop Layer ofDonkey Kong Bananzaand can be found in the Undertone Canal area of SL200. As the name of the course suggests, it borrows numerous elements from the first stage ofDonkey Kong Country: Jungle Hijinx, which should come as a welcome surprise to fans of thepopularDonkey Konggame.
Two of the three Nostalgia Country Banandium Gems are out in the open and thus impossible to miss, but the other is tucked away in a secret location that mostDonkey Kong Bananzaplayers would never think to check. The good news is, it’s at the very start of the course, so it’s easy to hop back in and grab it if you miss it on your first playthrough of the course.
Where to Find the Missing Nostalgia Country Banana
To find the last Nostalgia Country banana, players shoulduse a Jump Shot at the very beginning of the course and grab onto the wall above the doorway. They can thenclimb the wall to enter Donkey Kong’s house, where they’ll find the missing Banana floating above a tyre. It’s then just a simple case of bouncing off the tyre and punching the banana while in mid-air to claim the Treasured Memories Banandium Gem. Toperform a Jump Shot inDonkey Kong Bananza, players will need to press and hold ZR to tear up a chunk of the terrain, press A to jump, and then press A again while in mid-air.
Players can jump up and break some of the rocks above the entrance way to make it easier to grab onto the wall, but this isn’t really necessary as long as they get enough height from their Jump Shot.
Donkey Kong Bananza Jungle Hijinxs Easter Egg
The location of the last Nostalgia Country banana is a nice throwback tothe very first level ofDonkey Kong Country, which begins with DK jumping through the door of his shack and landing at the start of the stage. As such, those who’ve played Jungle Hijinxs before will already know that Donkey Kong’s home is up above the entrance and so may well be able to figure this puzzle out by themselves.
