After a tense journey through the MCM building to reach the theater and a rather terrifying fall, players ofFNAF: Secret of the Mimicfind themselves in the Recycling Center beneath the factory. Nurse Dollie can be found here, still tending to the scrap and remains of anything that makes its way down here.
Of course, given the Mimic’s track record inFNAF: Secret of the Mimic, it won’t be long before Dollie becomes a major threat to Arnold, so finding your way out of the Recycling Center is top priority.
How to Open the Recycling Center/Doll Hospital Door in FNAF: Secret of the Mimic
After falling through the floor of the TV Studio, you’ll find yourself in the Recycling Center/Doll Hospital,with Dollie politely informing the Springlock Suit you’re wearing that she’ll get that “foreign material” out with a variety of painful-sounding implements.She then sets off to handle her other tasks, at which point you’re able to exit the suit by pressing the interact button (R2 on PS5). Head down the hall and through the Data Diver Door, and you’ll be greeted by Edwin’s tour voiceover, explaining that you’re in the world’s first recycling center (which Edwin apparently invented in the FNAF timeline) and introducing you to Nurse Dollie properly. After this, you can head up and through the other door to begin the first puzzle of this section.
There’s a computer right ahead of you and using it will give you the options to open the door or open a vent. Unfortunately, the door is missing a component needed to open it, so you should start by opening the vent. Take note of the tracks running throughout this section of the recycling center, since Nurse Dollie moves along these tracks at high speed in straight lines. She’ll stop whenever she reaches a turn, and she can’t go back the same way she came at a junction. This is important because, due to the speed she moves at, getting hit by her while moving will result in your death and a restart from a checkpoint.
You’ll want to head out of the door to the right, follow the rails all the way to the upper right corner of the next room, then make a left turn and head straight until you find the vent you opened. verify to keep an eye on Nurse Dollie’s movements and step off the tracks to let her pass whenever she’s nearby. Since she can’t turn back the way she came, it’s safe to walk behind her right after she passes. Head up the ramp and through the vent to reach a blocked-off area that Dollie can’t reach.The missing gear for the door is located here, near a Digityper that will briefly reactivate startlingly as you approach it.
Grab the gear and head back the way you came, waiting for Dollie to pass by before heading forward and inserting the gear into the door on your left. Once the gear is in place, carefully make your way back toward the computer to run the program that opens it. As you head back toward the door, Dollie will get ripped off her stand, signalling that the Mimic has chosen her as its newest costume.
How to Reach the Incinerator Room in FNAF: Secret of the Mimic
There aren’t many options for where to go once Dollie bursts out, shortly after you enter this room, so you’ll need to make a right turn and head through a door that requires Creator permissions to open. This will take you to a side room with a button-activated generator in it, which can be used to cause noise as a distraction.After using the Mailbox nearby, you should activate this generator and then hidein the nearby locker to wait for Dollie to walk past and look at it.
Once Dollie arrives to look at the generator, you’ll want to head out the way she came in, making sure to avoid the hanging chains so they don’t alert her to your position, and then wrap around to the larger generator near the door she entered through. Activate this generator, then turn around and quickly move to hide in the locker behind you. Once Dollie comes to investigate the active generator, exit the locker and escape through the nearby vent, which is now accessible since the generator got the fan moving again.
This vent system only has one exit you can reach, besides the one you used to enter, which will drop you into the Incinerator Room.
How to Reach the Elevator in the Doll Hospital in FNAF: Secret of the Mimic
Now that you’re in the Incinerator Room,your next objective is to gain access to the elevator to the Power Core.Unfortunately, as the nearby terminal and Mr Helpful machine will inform you, you can’t access the elevator until all active tasks are complete. Using the terminal, you can select “Access Doll Hospital” to open a path back to where you were a moment ago and also unlock several new paths. Nurse Dollie will be patrolling the area, and your current goal is to dispose of cubes of trash in the chutes found throughout the Doll Hospital, so you can then activate the incinerator.
Luckily, the first of the cubes is right next to a trash chute in the first room you enter, inside a compactor. Pull the lever on the compactor to reveal the cube, then grab it and put it straight into the trash chute. The second is sitting on a workbench through the door to the right of this one, so you’re able to grab it and ferry it back to the same trash chute. Make sure to duck under the hanging chains so they won’t jingle and alert Dollie to your location.
Before grabbing these two, if you’re worried about Dollie, it’s worth using any noise-making distraction in the area to guarantee you know her position for a little while.
To get your hands on more trash cubes, you’ll need to head into the hallway that Dollie spends most of her time patrolling, accessible by turning left at the workstation where you found the second cube. In this hallway, there are three cubes and another trash chute. The cubes can be found in the rooms labeled in the first image above, and you should go into the first door on the right first. you’re able to grab the cube and then use the vent in the room to reach the other room with a cube in it,which also contains the upgrade station for Admin Permissions.
Open the door using your newly upgraded Data Diver and you can then drop the cubes into the Chute outside. There’s also one more cube in the room opposite the Admin Upgrade Station. If Nurse Dollie is giving you trouble, use the Toy Mice in the room with the Admin Upgrade Station to create a distraction.
Once you’ve disposed of all the cubes, you should head back to the main room, where you found the first cube, and activate the incinerator using the button shown above. This will cause the door on the right to open, as the chutes are clogged, and you’ll need to clear them manually. Once you enter the section with the conveyor belt, you’ll find Dollie trying to reach you by walking on the conveyor. Activate each of the switches along the conveyor belt to dispense the trash cubes, which will crash into her and knock her back, until you reach the incinerator door and can pull the switch next to it to finish the job.
Use the nearby vent to return to the main incinerator room,and then use the terminal to open the door to the power core.
How to Escape Molten Dollie in FNAF: Secret of the Mimic
After opening the path into the power core, you’ll have a linear path to follow, down two elevators.As you descend on the second Elevator, Molten Dollie will punch her way out of the incinerator to continue the chase.Immediately turn left and sprint as soon as you exit the elevator, using the stairs on the right a little way along the path to get onto a conveyor belt. Keep running and look out for an opening on your right, which you may use to get off the conveyor belt safely (image 2, above).
After dropping from that opening, do a 180 and run across the walkways until you end up on another conveyor belt. Dollie will burst out ahead of you a short way along this conveyor belt, but you can escape through a passage on the right, into a vent. This vent will drop you near a generator, which you can activate to turn on a fan and create a way forward into a new area. Dollie will appear here, but she’s lost track of you, so it’s time for some stealth.
Dollie’s Movements are fully scripted during this sequence, unless she spots you, so it’s quite easy to maneuver around her once you know the route she takes. As you duck under the obstruction shown in Image 1, she’ll walk out a short way ahead of you, before proceeding into the next room. Wait under the obstruction until she passes, then follow her and go straight ahead, since she’ll be looking around in a room off to the side.Make sure to crouch the whole time so you don’t bump any hanging chainsand alert her to your location, and also, so your footsteps don’t alert her.
After turning a corner and heading down another hallway, you’ll reach another corner. When you turn this corner, she’ll walk out of a room on the right, so as soon as she starts move back around the corner and wait for her to pass. Then head through the door on the left after turning the corner and keep following the path. You’ll see an elevator ahead of you, so move over to it and hit the button to call it. As soon as the painfully slow gate opens, get inside the elevator and hit the button to close the doors, or Dollie will catch you as she charges.
The final phase of this escape is a tense but straightforward elevator repair sequence. Follow Fiona’s instructions and do your best to ignore Molten Dollie pounding on the roof, and you’ll be able to accelerate the elevator and smash her against the top of the elevator shaft. Continuing a trend from earlier in the game, somehow we end up back by the security office when the elevator doors open.
