There are several really fun and unique trophies inDeath Stranding 2: On the Beach, one of which is the ‘So You’re the Pizza Chef’ trophy. While what players need to do to get it isn’t overly challenging, completing the required task does result in one of the more unique and funny cutscenes in the game. In this guide, I’ll run you through how to discover the truth about Pizza Chef inDeath Stranding 2, so you may witness the pizza fight cutscene for yourself.
How to Discover the Truth About Pizza Chef
Finding Pizza Chef’s Misanga
To get the ‘So You’re the Pizza Chef’ trophy, you will need to find and return Pizza Chef’s Misanga to him. This can only be done once you’ve nearly reached connection level 2. You’ll know you’re able to find the Misanga once you’re unable toincrease his connection levelany further. At this point, players will then need to head to the MULE enemy camp just northeast of the the Pizza Chef’s base, just down the hill that you likely drove up to reach him in the first place.
The Misanga can be found in the grey building right in the center of the base. You can either choose to drive a vehicle right up to the building, grab it and make a quick exit, or take down the enemies here if you haven’t already before looting the Misanga and any other materials and items scattered around the base.
you’re able to quickly check if the Misanga is in the MULE camp by using your Odradek scanner (or a watchtower) to scan the base for enemies and any items hiding inside.
Once you have the Pizza Chef’s Misanga, return to the Pizza Chef facility and make the delivery. While the Pizza Chef won’t make much of a comment about the return of the Misanga itself, once the delivery cutscene has finished, the door will swing open at the bottom of the stairs behind the terminal.
Head inside, and you’ll be ambushed by two ghost mechs. These aren’t too tricky to defeat so as long as you’ve got some ammo leftover after taking care of the MULE enemies, this shouldn’t cause you any trouble. Once they’re taken care of, head through the ‘No Entry’ door, to meet the Pizza Chef, and enjoy one of the crazier cutscenes inDeath Stranding 2.
After watching Sam and the Pizza Chef fight their way across the kitchen, using various pizza-cooking utensils as weapons and shields, Sam’ll enjoy a slice of pizza and all will be forgiven. Delivering the Pizza Chef’s Misanga will boost your connection level with him substantially, and you’ll get the Rubber Pizza as well as the Secrets of Pizza-Do Acorbatic Karate: Kicking. Completing this delivery and watching the cutscene will also unlock the ‘So You’re the Pizza Chef’ trophy inDeath Stranding 2.
