When a new Sticker Album season begins inMonopoly GO, all your stickers in the current album and any unused Stars in your “Stickers for Rewards” menu are reset. This way, all players start fresh with new sets to complete and new stickers to collect.
However, it’s undeniably a sad aspect for many players that these hard-earned Stars don’t carry over into the newMonopoly GOAlbum. It can feel like a huge loss of progress, especially for those who have collected a large number, as all that effort resets to zero with each new album. On the flip side, with a little twist, you can actually carry over your vault rewards into the new album inMonopoly GO.
How to Carry Over Your Vault Rewards to the New Album
If you do nothing with your accumulated Stars by the time the album switches, the game will automatically convert them intodice rolls inMonopoly GO. There’s usually a cap (e.g., 700 Stars for 750 dice rolls), and any Stars exceeding that cap will be lost.
Opening the vault manually before the season ends will give you stickers from the old album, which will soon be useless. With a little workaround, you canconvert youraccumulated Starsfrom the current (soon-to-end) sticker album into brand-new sticker packs for the next album, giving you a massive head start.
If you have enough Stars accumulated for your desiredMonopoly GOvault(typically the 700-Star Gold Vault, as it gives the best sticker packs), go to your “Stickers for Rewards” menu and select to open that vault. Once you’ve selected it (and see the confirmation pop-up or the animation about to start), youimmediately force close theMonopoly GOapp.
Then,wait and keep the game closed and do not launch it until the new sticker album has officially gone live.This usually happens immediately after the old one expires.
When you finally re-openMonopoly GOafter the new album has launched, the game recognizes that you have a vault “pending” from the previous album. Since the game environment has now shifted to the new album, when that pending vault opens, the sticker packs it delivers will contain stickers from the new album.
There’s always a minuscule chance that something could go wrong. However, it’s generally considered a safe and reliable method by the community. Make sure you have a stable internet connection when you attempt this, both when you select the vault (and force close) and when you re-open the game.
